Beijing
You'll arrive in Beijing and head to a welcome meeting at 6 pm where you'll meet your trip leader and other travelers. After that, there's an optional group dinner at a Beijing duck restaurant if you want to join in and start getting to know everyone.

Beijing to Chifeng to Reshui
This morning you're taking the bullet train from Beijing to Chifeng, the capital of Inner Mongolia. Along the way, you'll stop for lunch with your group. Once you arrive, you'll visit the Chifeng Museum to learn about the region's steppe and Mongolian culture, then head by private transfer to Reshui town, which serves as your gateway to the grasslands.

Reshui
You'll start exploring Inner Mongolia's natural landscape at Huanggangliang National Forest Park in the Greater Xing'an Mountains. Huanggang Peak reaches 2,029 m and features glacial valleys and grasslands. After lunch, you're visiting Asihatu Stone Forest with its rare 2 million-year-old rock formations. The day wraps up at Gongge'er Grasslands where you can see roaming wildlife.

Reshui to Xilinhot
You'll drive to Hunshandake Sandy Land at the southern end of Xilingol Grassland, a water desert where spring water creates small rivers and lakes. Lunch is a scenic BBQ at Ulihan Desert Campsite. Later you'll check out Dali Lake, one of Inner Mongolia's four famous lakes, before settling in for the night in Xilinhot.

Xilinhot to Sainshand
After leaving Xilinhot, you'll drive to Erlian, arriving around midday. You'll have lunch and meet your new Mongolian trip leader. Late afternoon, you're boarding the Trans-Mongolian Railway headed to Sainshand with a border crossing stop in Zamiin-Uud. You'll arrive after midnight.

Sainshand
This morning starts with a walking tour of Sainshand to see the city's main sights. You'll visit the Noyon Khutagt Museum, which holds Buddhist artifacts from the Mongolian People's Republic era. Then you're driving to Khamriin Monastery founded by Noyon Khutagt, and hiking to nearby meditation caves and the sacred energy center known as Mongolian Shambala. Your evening is free to explore on your own.

Sainshand to Ulaanbaatar
You'll climb Mountain of Wishes using stairs to reach the summit and take in the valley views. Locals say wishes made at the top come true. After that, you're visiting a nomadic camel herder family for a traditional home-cooked lunch and learning about their daily life. You'll return to Sainshand and board an overnight train to Ulaanbaatar.

Ulaanbaatar to Khustai National Park
You'll arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital, around 7 am. First up is the impressive 40 m Chinggis Khaan Statue where you can climb to the horse's mane for valley views and explore a small museum in the statue's base. After lunch at a monastery cafe in Nalaikh town, you'll continue to Khustai National Park and settle into your ger camp for an authentic Mongolian experience.

Khustai National Park
Following breakfast at camp, you'll hike through Khustai National Park looking for wild horses and watching for Golden Eagles, falcons, and vultures. You'll also visit the Ungut Monument, a collection of 30 human-shaped stone monuments from the 7th century believed to be an ancient offering site. Back at camp, your evening is free to relax.

Ulaanbaatar
You're driving back to Ulaanbaatar for a final orientation walk through the city's central square. The evening features an optional cultural performance with throat singing and traditional dancing, followed by an optional final dinner at a local restaurant.
