- Day 1BaionaYou'll arrive in Baiona, a historic fishing village on Galicia's Atlantic coast where you're starting the final 100 km stretch of the Portuguese Way. This is the place where news of Columbus's voyage first reached Europe back in 1493, so there's some real history in the streets here. - Meals

- Day 2Baiona to VigoYour walk heads toward Vigo with views of the Cédes Islands National Park and Nigránís beaches in the distance. Before setting out, you might want to stop by the Pinta Caravel Museum to see the actual ship that brought word of Columbus's discovery back to Europe. - Meals

- Day 3Vigo to RedondelaThis is your shortest day at just 15 km and the easiest stretch of the route. The walk takes you to Redondela, and you'll pass some really nice beaches along the way where you can stop for a break and cool off. - Meals

- Day 4Redondela to PontevedraYou'll reach Pontevedra, which puts you about halfway between Lisbon and Santiago de Compostela. Spend time walking through the old town with its narrow cobbled streets, checking out the Romanesque and Gothic churches, and visiting the museums that have art and objects ranging from prehistory through contemporary work. - Meals

- Day 5Pontevedra to Caldas de ReisThe path goes from Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis, taking you through the Río Barosa Natural Park. You'll see mills and waterfalls tucked into the Galician countryside, which gives you a chance to recharge before the next stretch toward Santiago. - Meals

- Day 6Caldas de Reis to Santiago de CompostelaStarting out from Caldas de Reis, you'll cross the medieval Burgo Bridge with great views down to the Lérez River. After that, the route takes you through Barro and past the Barosa River Natural Park with its mills and waterfalls before you arrive in Santiago de Compostela. - Meals

- Day 7Santiago de CompostelaYou'll finish the longest final stage and arrive in Santiago de Compostela. The landscape shifts as the city gets closer. Head to the Pilgrim's Office and present your pilgrim's credential to apply for the Compostela certificate. If you've got energy left, consider walking out to Muxía to learn about the Camino Finisterre-Muxía route. - Meals
