Vinschgau Valley
You'll arrive and get settled into your accommodation. Spend the afternoon walking around the Vinschgau Valley on your own and try some local South Tyrolean food and wine specialties in the area.

Schnalstal Valley to Juval Castle
A short bus ride takes you to where the hiking starts. From there, you'll trek through the Schnalstal Valley with its 3,000-metre peaks, following narrow paths up to Katharinaberg's rock chapel. After that, you'll cross through alpine meadows and forests, eventually reaching Reinhold Messner's Juval Castle. You'll take the Unterstell cable car down and then walk along the Adige river back to your hotel.

Venosta Valley to Parcines
Take the gondola lift up to the high trail and check out the viewing platform with its views across Venosta Valley. You'll navigate narrow forest paths around steep mountain farms, then descend into the thousand-step gorge with chain-secured paths, bridges, and footbridges securing your way down. The hike ends at Alpengasthof Giggelberg where you'll take a cable car to Parcines.

Giggelberg to Dorf Tirol
Head up to Giggelberg and follow the high-level trail to Nasereit hut across wide mountain pastures. From there, you'll continue via Hochganghaus, cross a rope bridge, and reach Leiteralm with its views of the Merano basin. After that, you'll end at Hochmuth before taking the gondola down to Dorf Tirol.

High Cross to San Leonardo
Starting at High Cross, you'll descend through shady forest paths past Longfall hut to reach the panoramic high trail. The route takes you across green mountain meadows and past typical South Tyrolean chapels to the lowest point of the Merano High Mountain Trail. From there, you'll climb through fields along the Feuersteinweg trail to San Martino. Later, you can either take a short bus ride or do a leisurely walk down the valley to San Leonardo.

Landmarks Longfall Hut San Martino - Day 6
Sankt Leonhard to Pfelders
You'll follow the Norggensteig trail through dense mountain forest and come out onto the panoramic trail above Sankt Leonhard. The path alternates between forest, meadows, and quiet mountain villages with gentle ups and downs throughout the day. You'll cross a rushing stream and follow the final section along the riverbank to Pfelders village.

Landmarks Pfelders - Day 7
Pfelders to Valley
From Pfelders, you'll trek past the rustic Lazinser Hut deep into the valley head where snow-covered 3,000-metre peaks of the Ötztal Alps tower above and cow bells ring out across alpine pastures. You'll hike through wide alpine meadows on the panoramic trail to a cozy mountain hut for a stop. Then return to the valley either on foot or by cable car, depending on your preference.
