- Judith· April 29th, 2016We are a retired couple and have travelled a lot through the years but we had never gone on an organized tour before. I was not totally sold on going on such a tour but that made the most sense when we began to plan our trip to Yunnan. And I am so glad we went on that G Adventures tour; it was so much better than I expected and I will definitely recommend G Adventures to others and I am looking forward to going on another G Adventures trip. Our group was small, 7 people in total and our guide, Ricky. He was excellent, flexible, knowledgable, and very organized. He listened to what the group wanted and did his best to accommodate all our wishes. The quality that I most appreciated was that he was able to recognize and meet the individual needs of our group. For example, my husband and I were not physically able to complete the full two day hike and Ricky arranged for us to do two half day hikes and organized a car and driver to pick us up both days and take us to our guest house. We were extremely happy as we didn't miss out on the amazing scenery, the physical activity or the camaraderie of the group. This was classed as a basic trip so the accommodations were not fancy but the guest houses were comfortable and they all had sit-down flush toilets. We travelled by public bus mostly and had one short flight from Lijang to Kunming. All in all, the tour was excellent; everything that the brochure promised and more.Show more
