Itinerary
- Day 1
Departure to Lewis
You'll depart from your pick-up point heading north, with a refreshment break partway through. By late afternoon you'll reach Ullapool to board the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry to Stornoway, which takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Dinner's included on board during the crossing, and once you arrive in Lewis you'll transfer directly to the Caberfeidh Hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Lewis Exploration
After breakfast you'll head to Lewis's west coast to see Calanais II, where five standing stones and two fallen ones form an oval configuration. From there you'll visit Gearannan's Black Houses, showing what traditional crofting settlements looked like. Next is the Norse Mill at Shawbost, a reconstructed Viking-era grain mill with a short walk nearby that passes a small lochan and offers ocean views. You'll return to the hotel for dinner in the evening.

Lewis to Benbecula
Following breakfast you'll check out and travel south into Harris, which has more rugged mountains and impressive coastal scenery compared to Lewis. You'll pass by Taransay island and several beautiful beaches including Horgabost, Borve, and Scarasta. St Clement's Church at Rodel comes next, a 16th-century structure with some remarkable church tombs inside. After that you'll take a ferry to Berneray on North Uist, then drive across causeways to Benbecula, keeping an eye out for otters. Check-in at the Dark Island Hotel for two nights, with dinner served.

- Day 4
Barra and Eriskay
Starting with a full Scottish breakfast, you'll travel to Barra, first passing through Eriskay and its sandy beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie landed back in July 1745. A short ferry crossing takes you to Barra for an island tour. You'll stop at Cockleshell Beach, which serves as a tidal runway, and see where author Sir Compton Mackenzie once lived. Vatersay is accessible by causeway and features hundreds of wild flower species across the machair. The ferry returns you to Benbecula by evening for dinner at the hotel.

- Day 5
Return Journey
You'll check out in the morning and catch the early Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Lochmaddy heading to Uig on the Isle of Skye. Breakfast is served while you're on the boat. From Skye you'll continue your journey home, and you should arrive back at your original pick-up location during the evening.
