Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Munich
You'll land at Munich Airport and your driver will meet you after you collect your luggage, which takes about an hour depending on how busy things are. Once you're through, head to your hotel and settle in for the night.



- Day 2
Neuschwanstein Castle and Füssen
This morning you'll head out to Neuschwanstein Castle and explore Füssen's old-town streets with views of the surrounding mountains. After walking through the castle grounds and taking in the scenic spots, catch a 2-hour train ride back to Munich through the Bavarian countryside. You'll learn about King Ludwig II's story along the way. You're on your own for this day, so pace it however works best for you.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Zugspitze
After breakfast, travel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen to see how people live in the Bavarian mountains. Head up to Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, where you can see panoramic views across over 400 mountain peaks on a clear day. The whole day is self-guided, so you can spend as much time as you want exploring the region.

Munich to Nuremberg
Take the train from Munich to Nuremberg and spend the day walking through the old town on your own. The city has lots of cathedrals, castles, and historical sites that reflect its cultural importance. Check out the Main Market Square in the evening or explore the local art scene, depending on what interests you most.

Nuremberg to Rothenburg
Head to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a medieval town along the German Romantic Road. You'll walk through cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered houses that feel like you've stepped back in time. There are quiet squares, tower decorations, fountains, gates, and wine bars scattered throughout the town where everything moves slower.

Landmarks Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Day 6
Nuremberg to Chiemsee
Take the train from Nuremberg to Chiemsee, known as the Bavarian Sea. This freshwater lake sits at the base of the Alps and has Herrenchiemsee Palace on Herreninsel (Men's Island), which King Ludwig II built as his version of Versailles with grand halls and gardens. Fraueninsel (Women's Island) is quieter with a historic Benedictine convent, small shops, and restaurants along the water.

Departure from Munich
Your trip ends today with a private cab transfer from your hotel to Munich Airport. The cab will pick you up 3 hours before your flight departs, giving you plenty of time to check in and get through security.
