- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll arrive in Hanoi and get settled at the hostel whenever works for you. At 5pm, meet your CEO and other travelers for the Welcome Moment. After that, wander through the old quarter's narrow back streets and local markets, trying street food like nem ran and banh goi along the way. Head to Hanoi Food Culture restaurant to try the city's signature specialty coffee before the evening winds down.

Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Start with a visit to Tam Chuc Pagoda, the largest in Southeast Asia. Then head to Ninh Binh to see the limestone cliffs rising up from the rice fields around you. The rest of the day is yours to do what you want at the hostel, meet other travelers, or rent a bike and explore the surrounding countryside on two wheels.

Ninh Binh
You've got the full day to explore Ninh Binh however you'd like. Walk between temples, bike through the area, or hike across the rice fields. If you're up for something more challenging, trek up Hang Mua Peak for views over the whole countryside, or take a small boat through the Trang An Grottoes and canals. Or just hang out at the hostel. Evening brings an overnight sleeper train that'll take you further north.

Phong Nha
You'll arrive in Phong Nha and start at Dong Hoi fish market to check out all the seafood vendors. Grab a traditional banh mi breakfast from a stall, made on soft French baguettes with that fusion of French and Vietnamese flavors. After that, bike through the rural countryside around here. Later, head back to the hostel to relax and catch up with the other travelers about what you've seen.

Phong Nha
You've got the whole day to yourself in Phong Nha, so it really depends on what appeals to you. The area's known for having the world's largest cave system, and your CEO can point you toward the best routes if you want to hike or bike through the surrounding wilderness. If that sounds too active, you can just hang back and relax instead. Come evening, there's a bar crawl happening if you feel like joining the group for some drinks.

Phong Nha to Hue
Early morning means heading down into the Vinh Moc tunnels, a quieter spot than the more famous Cu Chi tunnels and built by local villagers during the Vietnam War. After exploring there, you'll climb back out and load into a private vehicle for the trip to Hue, where you'll arrive with a free afternoon ahead. From there, you can rent a motorbike for something thrilling, visit the historic Citadel and Royal tombs, or just chill at the hostel or grab a drink by the river.

Hue to Hoi An
An epic drive across the Hai Van Pass happens in open-top jeeps, which is a highlight. You'll visit An Bang cemetery, known as the city of ghosts, then swing by Lang Co Beach for a swim and traditional local lunch. Continue south to Da Nang bay where you'll explore an abandoned French fort and check out the Marble Mountain pagoda. Finish the day walking through Hoi An's old town and hanging at a lively riverside bar.

Your CEO can help arrange things or you can go solo. Later on, meet up with other travelers for dinner at a nice restaurant in the old town, sampling local favorites.

Hoi An to Overnight Train
Start with a cooking class at Oodles of Noodles, which G Adventures supports, and then eat what you've made for lunch. Afternoon is open for whatever you want to do, whether that's getting fitted for a custom suit, learning to make Vietnamese lanterns, wandering through riverside bars and cafes, or taking it easy. Later in the evening, you'll board an overnight train heading south, and you'll have your own sleeper cabin with 4 berths that come with individual reading lights, pillows, sheets, and duvets.

Ho Chi Minh City
You'll arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and head to Thap Doi to see the Cham temples. Stop at Eoi Gio for a local breakfast and walk along the coastline. Spend the afternoon at Ky Co Beach with its white sand and clear water, perfect for relaxing or snorkeling to see coral and colorful fish. Finish with dinner at a seafood restaurant in Qui Nhon, trying local specialties.

Stop at the Mud Baths in Nha Trang to soak in mud and mineral pools. The evening is yours to explore Nha Trang's nightclubs and beach bars, and your CEO can point you toward the best spots.

Nha Trang

If you're interested, there's a waterpark nearby or you can join a boat snorkeling tour. An overnight train to Ho Chi Minh City leaves in the evening.

Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. You'll start with a walking tour of Ben Thanh Market, the Reunification Palace, and the French Quarter. Grab pho for breakfast, HCMC's most famous dish. The afternoon is free to explore by cyclo, motorbike tour, visit the Cu Chi tunnels, or just relax at the hostel. The evening features a karaoke farewell party at a top bar with everyone from the trip.

Later, meet up with other Roamies for a street food walk led by your CEO, sampling the best local dishes the city has to offer.

Ho Chi Minh City to Chau Doc
Take a private ride to Chau Doc in the Mekong Delta and dive into local life. You'll hop on the back of a motorbike to explore, then ride up to the mysterious Hang Pagoda on a mountain. Join pilgrims visiting this sacred site, breathe in the incense, and watch the rituals with chanting and temple bells echoing around. Ride to Sam Mountain for sunset views over the delta.

Chau Doc to Kampot
