- Day 1
Girona to Cadaques
You'll arrive at Girona airport or train station, or alternatively at Figueres if that works better for your schedule. From there, a transfer takes you to Cadaques, the charming coastal town where you'll meet your tour guide. This person will walk through what the week holds and answer any questions about the route and what to expect.

Cadaques
Today involves hiking to Cap de Creus, the easternmost point on mainland Spain. The route covers about 16 km with 445 m of climbing and 409 m descent, so it's a solid day. You'll see coastal views that stretch far out, and the rocky formations along the way have interesting shapes carved by wind and sea over time. Bring plenty of water and sun protection.

Cadaques to El Port de la Selva
You'll leave Cadaques heading north through Cap de Creus National Park on quiet country lanes. The terrain rolls through undulating landscapes with views of the Catalan countryside, and you can see the Pyrenees in the distance along with the French-Spanish border area. The hike ends in El Port de la Selva, a fishing village. This walk is approximately 12 km with 398 m ascent and 409 m descent.

- Day 4
El Port de la Selva to Llanca
Starting from El Port de la Selva, you'll head northwest toward Sant Pere de Rodes monastery, which dates back to the first century AD and ranks among Spain's important monastic sites. After visiting, the route continues to Sant Salvador castle ruins where views open across Alt Emporda, the Albera mountains, the Pyrenees, the bay of Roses, and back toward Cap de Creus. You'll drive down to Llanca afterward. This section covers 14 km with 578 m ascent and 618 m descent.

Llanca to Banyuls-sur-Mer
A morning transfer takes you from Llanca to Portbou, then hiking begins through beautiful Catalan hills. You'll see the Pyrenees, Canigou peak, Cap de Creus, and Mediterranean views throughout the day. The route crosses into France, finishing in the coastal town of Banyuls-sur-Mer. The hike itself is 15 km with 402 m ascent and 410 m descent.

Banyuls-sur-Mer to Collioure
This day takes you north on quiet lanes and cliff paths around Cap Béar, a rugged headland with really good views. There are places where you can stop for a swim if the weather's right. After that, you'll walk through vineyards producing regional wines before reaching Collioure, a beautiful French coastal town. Expect about 17 km with 890 m ascent and 920 m descent, so it's the biggest climb of the week.
