Itinerary
- Day 1
Porto
You'll get picked up at Porto airport and head to your hotel for a welcome briefing where your tour guide goes over the itinerary and helps you adjust your bike. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own, check out the local food scene, and get a feel for the place.

- Day 2
Porto to Espinho
Start cycling across the iconic Don Luis Bridge with great views of the Douro River below. From there you'll ride along the coastal path, passing small beaches at Valadares, Francelos, and Miramar where there's a chapel sitting on a rock. Continue through Espinho and a pine forest path to reach Furadouro beach. The day ends back at your accommodation where you can relax or walk along the promenade.

- Day 3
Espinho to Aveiro
Today takes you through the Ria of Aveiro, a protected wetland area formed in the 15th century that's home to lampreys, storks, herons, and otters. You'll cycle through fishing villages and see the local way of life while moving through the landscape. By evening you'll arrive in Aveiro itself and see the traditional Moliceiro boats that represent the Ria.

- Day 4
Aveiro to Mira
Leaving Aveiro, you'll cycle past ponds where salt gets extracted using centuries-old methods. You'll see old fishing docks and cod boats, then cross toward Barra. The Costa Nova village has distinctive striped painted houses that are worth stopping to see. After that the landscape shifts through the Ria and into small farms and vegetable gardens as you reach Mira.

Mira to Coimbra
You're heading inland now from the Atlantic toward Coimbra, Portugal's medieval capital with one of Europe's oldest universities. You'll ride along the Ria de Aveiro through local villages and wine country around Cantanhede, then follow the Mondego River. Once in Coimbra, spend the evening trying local wine and listening to fado music, a traditional form that's really important to Portuguese culture.

Following the Mondego River out of Coimbra takes you through peaceful valleys with traditional fishing boats and riverside villages. You'll see Montemor-o-Velho Castle sitting on a hill and can take a detour to explore its cobblestone streets and local cafes. Later you'll pass through green floodplains with cornfields, then reach where the river meets the Atlantic. Finish your day in Figueira da Foz watching the river flow into the sea at Praia da Claridade.

Figueira da Foz to Monte Real
Moving away from the coast, you'll cycle through rolling farmland and rural areas. You'll come across Verride Monastery, a quiet place with centuries of history. Stop at Lagoa da Ervedeira, a clean lagoon surrounded by trees where you can rest and listen to birds. The day finishes in Monte Real, a village known for its thermal springs and calm vibe.

Continue to Sao Pedro de Moel with its white houses and beaches. You'll pass Praia de Paredes da Vitoria with its cliffs and dunes, then reach the Miradouro do Suberco viewpoint in Nazare high above the town before descending to explore this place famous for its fishing traditions and huge waves.

Head inland through Atouguia da Baleia, a historic town from the Age of Discovery with narrow streets and old buildings. Continue to Baleal, a peninsula with golden beaches and sea views. Visit Miradouro do Cabo Carvoeiro where jagged cliffs meet the water with sweeping views. End at the Fort of Peniche, an impressive fortress with a complex history as both a defensive stronghold and political prison. Grab fresh seafood for dinner in town.

Today you'll ride along Portugal's coast where history and nature blend together. You'll see historic forts like Forte da Praia da Consola and Forte de Nossa Senhora dos Anjos de Paimogo with ocean views. There's time to relax at Termas do Vimeiro in green surroundings or visit isolated beaches like Praia de Porto Novo. Stop at viewpoints including Miradouro De Santa Rita and Miradouro do Alto da Vela for Atlantic views. At Foz de Sizandro the river meets the sea. Check out Ribeira d'Ilhas, one of Portugal's top surfing spots with dramatic cliffs. Finish in Ericeira at Praia dos Pescadores where colorful fishing boats and local activity set the tone for exploring narrow streets and trying fresh fish.

Ericeira to Sintra
Have breakfast in Ericeira enjoying local food and sea breeze. Cycle past coastal views and stop at Azenhas do Mar where white houses sit on cliffs above the sea, and Praia Grande, a surf spot with dramatic cliffs. Follow the Lizandro River through calm waters and wetlands. Rest at Praia de Sao Juliao between cliffs and see the Ponte Romana de Catribana, an old Roman bridge in a green valley. Pass through Colares known for vineyards and quiet views. Arrive in Sintra to explore romantic palaces, gardens, and streets that feel like a fairytale.
