Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Sesimbra
Your guide picks you up and drives you to Sesimbra, a fishing town with a sheltered bay setting. Once there, you'll have time to settle in and breathe in the Atlantic air while getting ready for the cycling ahead.
Landmarks/POIs Sesimbra - Day 2
Arrábida Natural Park to Grândola
Start cycling through Arrábida Natural Park, which sits between the land and sea with a Mediterranean ecosystem. You'll take a ferry across the Sado River to reach the Tróia peninsula, then continue riding to Grândola. Later you'll stop at a restaurant with Atlantic views to have some traditional local food.

Grândola to Cercal
Cycle south from Grândola through cork oak forests toward Santiago do Cacém, a village with a medieval castle on a hill. After that, head through Sonega and finish the day at your hotel in Cercal, a quiet traditional village where you'll stay the night.

Vicentina Coast and Cape Sardão
Head to the Vicentina coast nature reserve in southwest Alentejo. The day starts at Vila Nova de Milfontes where the Mira River meets the ocean, then moves through Cape Sardão with its cliff formations. You'll cycle through fields watching for white storks and end up in Odeceixe, a hilltop village with a historic windmill.

- Day 5
Odeceixe to Pedralva
Start at Odeceixe beach and cycle inland through a valley to Aljezur, a medieval village about five kilometers from the coast. You'll check out the medieval castle, then ride back through forests toward the sea. After that, continue through valleys to Pedralva, an old village being restored with a new hotel.

Cape São Vicente
Cycle a coastal route that takes you past some of the Vicentina coast's less-known beaches. Head south to Cape São Vicente, the most southwestern point of mainland Europe, surrounded by tall cliffs with great coastal views. It's a good spot to see bird migration happening naturally.

Departure
Time to head home with memories from your Portuguese adventure. You'll have discovered new places and experienced the nature trails throughout the country. The hope is you'll come back to explore more of what Portugal has to offer.
