Itinerary
- Day 1
Forno di Moena
You'll arrive in Forno di Moena, a small village in the Fiemme Valley about 53 km northeast of Trento. The setting here is pretty special with major mountain groups surrounding you on all sides: Marmolada to the east, Latemar to the southwest, and Catinaccio toward the southeast. After getting to your accommodation and settling in, you'll have time to prepare for the hiking that starts tomorrow. This is mostly about getting oriented and resting up before the adventure begins.

For something more moderate, the 3 hour 50 minute option (12 km) includes a climb to 2,331 m where you'll see views of both Latemar and Marmolada. The challenging route runs 5 hours 20 minutes over 11.3 km and involves the Via Ferrata dei Campanili del Latemar, with the Latemar hut as your only stop for food or water.
