Itinerary
- Day 1
La Palma
You'll arrive at La Palma airport where an ASI Reisen representative meets you and drives to the hotel. Take time to settle in and get your gear organized before the hiking week begins.
- Day 2
Barlovento
Today you choose your pace through Barlovento's laurel forest. The medium option circles from the hotel through forest to a lagoon and back, covering 8.9 km in about 3 hours. If you want something more challenging, the demanding route goes deeper into the forest toward Laguna, climbs to Mirador Las Barandas for panoramic views, then drops down to Los Sauces where you can catch a bus or keep hiking back to base, totaling 18.6 km and 7 hours.

Barlovento
Head out to explore La Palma's wild north coast with two route options. The medium hike starts with a bus to Franceses, then follows the coast through gorges and lush vegetation past traditional villages before returning to Barlovento, 10.8 km in under 5 hours. The demanding alternative starts from Roque Faro, cuts through dense laurel forests on steep paths with unobstructed nature views, and finishes in Barlovento after 17.3 km and 7 hours.

Los Llanos
This day takes you to Pirate's Cove on the west coast, a hidden bay ringed by impressive cliffs with fishing boat history and pirate legend. The medium hike goes from Tijarafe through the bay to El Jesús in 4.5 hours covering 8.9 km. The demanding route continues from there to Mirador El Time overlooking the Aridane Valley and coast, adding another 5.6 km and about 2.5 hours. Your luggage moves ahead to Los Llanos while you hike.

- Day 5
Los Llanos
You'll explore mountain terrain and Pico Bejenado today. A taxi gets you to Virgen del Pino where the medium route hikes to Cumbrecita with caldera views in 2.75 hours and 7 km, or you can add an extension to Lomo las Chozas and Roque viewpoints for 10 km total in 3.75 hours. The demanding option climbs from Cumbrecita up Pico Bejenado through pine forests to the summit, then descends to the visitor center with spectacular caldera views, 10 km and 4 hours.

Los Llanos
After a taxi to Los Brecitos, you trek 13 km through the heart of Caldera de Taburiente National Park, moving through dense pine forests and along dramatic rock faces. You can detour to ancient Pinos Gordos trees or visit Cascada de Colores waterfall with its mineral deposits if you have time and energy. At La Viña parking lot, another taxi brings you back to the hotel.

Santa Cruz
The volcano route at La Palma's southern tip offers two choices. The medium route starts with a taxi to Fuencaliente, passes Teneguía volcano, descends to historic salt flats where sea salt is harvested, then returns uphill to Fuencaliente in 4.75 hours and 11.4 km. The demanding variant starts from Refugio el Pilar, crosses the island's ridge through volcanic landscape with views of both Teneguía and San Antonio volcanoes, finishing in Fuencaliente after 17.5 km and 7 hours. Your luggage goes to Santa Cruz and a public bus takes you to the hotel.

Your week wraps up after breakfast. You'll arrange your individual departure from the island, and you can book an optional airport transfer if needed to get you to La Palma airport for your flight out.
