- Day 1
Perth
You'll arrive in Perth, ideally by train from Edinburgh Airport. Depending on when you get there, there's time to walk around town, stroll along the River Tay, or head up Kinnoull Hill if you're feeling energetic and want views across Perth and the Tay Valley.

Perth to Dunkeld
Start cycling two miles to Scone Palace to see the furniture, ivory, porcelain, and needlework collections. From there, keep going north through Perthshire farmland toward Dunkeld. This historic cathedral town sits right on the River Tay with beautiful 18th-century restored houses. You can visit the partially restored cathedral, which started construction way back in 1318.

Dunkeld to Aberfeldy
Head out from Dunkeld past the cathedral and follow along the River Tay's north bank. You'll cross the river using an old railroad bridge at Logierait, then continue through Strathtay (it's quite popular with canoeists). The route takes you through the small village of Weem before reaching Aberfeldy via General Wade's Bridge. Once there, you can check out the distillery, watermill, or try some hiking trails in the Birks of Aberfeldy.

- Day 4
Aberfeldy to Killin
Leave Aberfeldy crossing General Wade's Bridge and stop at Castle Menzies, the traditional seat of Clan Menzies that's currently undergoing restoration. After that, cycle through Drummond Forest to reach Kenmore, a conservation village at Loch Tay's eastern end. The Crannog Exhibition here shows what Bronze Age life was like on the loch. From there, continue along the south shore road toward Killin, with nice views of the lochs and mountains throughout.

Killin
This day's flexible depending on what you're interested in. Rest and relax in Killin if that appeals to you, or choose from several options. Walk to the Falls of Dochart, take a countryside walk, rent a canoe, or cycle about 9.5 km to Ben Lawers Visitor Center and climb Ben Lawers, which is the highest mountain in Perthshire. Glen Lochay and Glen Lyon are also good for cycling if you want to explore those areas.

Killin to Crieff
Take a traffic-free cycle ride through Glen Ogle to Lochearnhead on the shores of Loch Earn. Continue along the south shore taking in the views of the loch and Ben Vorlich as you head to St Fillans at the eastern end. Then follow the River Earn valley through Comrie to reach Crieff. If it interests you, Glenturret Distillery and the Famous Grouse Experience are options, or there's the Crieff Visitor Centre.

Visit the famous Italian gardens at Drummond Castle Gardens, which sits just over 3 km south of Crieff. After that, drive back to Perth on an easy route through quiet countryside to finish the cycling portion of your trip.
