Julia· October 4th, 2023On the plus side, this tour covers a LOT of Rajistan. (I think we saw 8 cities in 14 days?) It also covers a fair number of interesting things to do, like the Taj Mahal and Agra fort. As a negative, the entire trip felt incredibly rushed. I'd guess that about 75% of time with the tour guide was spent in a bus. Not exactly my idea of a fun trip. (Especially as the trips were often "get on a bus for 3 hours", "get off at a rest stop that serves coffee and medicore food", "get back on the bus for 3 hours". Having a few things to see along the way would have made a huge difference.) I feel like it would have made sense to cut some of the stops (or maybe get up earlier or later? Something???) so that there was more time in each city to actually, y'know, see the country we were in. I also disliked the number of "shopping trips" organized for us. There were at least 7 (7!!!) stops to small stores, all of which sold fairly expensive items (so not really suitable to just picking up a quick souveneer) and had salespeople who were often fairly aggressive if I didn't buy. (Hey, guys, I didn't want to come here...) We also stopped for about an hour at each place...which meant that a huge portion of "on the ground" time in India was spent...at very expensive shops with pushy, aggressive sales people. Personally, if I had to do it over, I'd probably just take either train/planes or a private car (even a private driver would probably cost less than this tour...) and have a bit more time on my own to explore.Show more
