- Day 1
Delhi
You'll land in Delhi and have the afternoon free before a 6 pm welcome meeting. If your flight gets in early, check out Humayun's Tomb or Qutub Minar, both World Heritage sites. After connecting with your group and leader, there's an optional dinner at a local restaurant to kick things off.

Delhi to Agra
An air-conditioned train takes you to Agra this morning. Your local guide will walk you through the Taj Mahal with its white marble and formal gardens, then head to Agra Fort to see the red sandstone structures. During free time, you can visit Sheroes Hangout, a social enterprise that supports women affected by acid attacks.

- Day 3
Agra to Jaipur
Start early and travel by private vehicle toward Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal kingdom. Your guide will walk you through the Jama Masjid and explain the 54-metre-high Buland Darwaza gate and Emperor Akbar's reign. Later this afternoon, you'll reach Jaipur and wander through bazaars full of hand-crafted textiles, folk art, and semi-precious stones.

- Day 4
Jaipur
Morning is yours to spend freely in Jaipur. Then head to Amber Fort, a 16th-century Rajput fortress that takes several hours to explore. Later, catch a Bollywood film at Raj Mandir Cinema, then join a rickshaw food tour with the Pink City Rickshaw Co. You'll try kachoris, lassis, kulfis, and cardamom tea while supporting a non-profit that hires women from low-income households.

Jaipur to Mandawa
You'll drive from Jaipur into the remote Shekhawati region, stopping for lunch in Nawalgarh to try local food. After arriving in Mandawa, an old trading outpost between the Middle East and China, you'll check in at your resort and take a walking tour with your leader. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool, visiting the spa, or having a drink at the bar.

Mandawa
A local guide leads you around Mandawa, known as an outdoor museum. You'll see the town's famous ornate havelis with their lavishly painted walls and distinctive art, some beautifully restored and others gorgeously crumbling. Share a spicy Northern Indian meal with other travellers at Castle Mandawa before heading back to your resort for the night.

Mandawa to Bikaner
Travel into the Thar Desert toward Bikaner, a historic staging post on ancient caravan routes. You'll explore the massive 16th-century Junagarh Fort with a local guide, then check out the National Camel Research Centre museum. Don't skip the camel milk parlour for unique ice creams and drinks. Later, take an auto rickshaw ride through town and markets, trying tea, samosas, and Indian treats.

Bikaner to Thar Desert

Thar Desert to Jaisalmer
Leave the desert and travel along desert roads to Jaisalmer, where the yellow sandstone 'living fort' rises from the dry landscape. - Day 10
Jaisalmer
Walk through the massive Jaisalmer fort this morning with a guide, discovering the maze of houses, temples, shops, and restaurants within its walls. Browse Rajasthani fabrics and look at the detailed facades of Patwa ki Haveli and Salim Singh-ki-Haveli. The afternoon is free to wander the paths or visit the Jaisalmer Folklore Museum by Gadisar Lake. Tonight, join a local family for a thali-style dinner with pakoras, vegetable curries, chapatis, and dessert.

- Day 12
Jodhpur to Ranakpur to Udaipur
Travel through the hamlet of Ranakpur to visit its exquisitely carved white marble Jain temples, important pilgrimage sites for Jains across India. You'll have a traditional Jain vegetarian lunch at a temple, featuring dishes that exclude anything grown underground. Then continue to the lakeside city of Udaipur.

Udaipur
Walk through Udaipur's atmospheric laneways with your leader and watch for elephants and cows. Check out the City Palace, one of India's largest royal palaces that took 400 years to build, with vivid murals and royal utensils inside. Join a local family for home-cooked lunch with local lentil, potato, and paneer dishes. After that, take a boat ride across Pichola Lake to see the city from a different angle.

Delhi
