Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Lhasa

Your guide will meet you at Lhasa airport and get you settled into your hotel. Since you're arriving at high altitude, you'll want to take it easy for the rest of the day and let your body adjust to Tibet's thin air. Rest and hydrate well, as altitude sickness can hit people differently.

  2. Day 2

    Lhasa

This morning you'll head to a local handicraft center where you can try making incense, work with woodblock printing, and learn how to write Tibetan blessings. After lunch, drive over to Sera Monastery to watch monks debating (usually around 3:00pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Saturday). Later you can walk around Lhasa's streets or head back to your hotel to rest depending on how you're feeling at altitude.

You'll have time to browse and pick up some local items if you want.

Very friendly, polite and professional guides and drivers. Everybody was eager to help to make our experience even better. Eva Wang, our trip coordinator was always very responsive and put together a great itinerary for us. We had a wonderful time exploring China for the second time.

It was such an amazing trip with so much culture to experience. But China is huge, and I feel like there are still so many places I didn’t get to see—definitely a little regret there. Guess that just means I’ll have to come back next time!
