Itinerary
- Day 1
Oaxaca
You'll arrive in Oaxaca and get settled into your hotel. If you land with time to spare before the 6 pm welcome meeting, the main square is right there with its 16th-century architecture worth a look, or head over to 20 de Noviembre Market where locals pick up their food. Dinner that evening is with your group, so try the regional dishes like tlayudas or sample one of Oaxaca's seven types of mole.

Oaxaca to Benito Juarez
After breakfast you'll drive out to Benito Juarez to start the hiking portion of your trip. Your local guide takes you through to Mirador and the Hanging Bridge, and if the weather cooperates you might spot Pico de Orizaba, Mexico's highest mountain, from there. By evening you'll reach Mr Eli's farm where you'll meet the family, have a home-cooked dinner, and sleep in the cabin.

Benito Juarez to La Neveria
You eat breakfast at the farm and then hike rural paths with your guide toward La Neveria, walking through Sierra Norte's forests while learning about the local plants and wildlife. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, after which you'll tour the community and see how corn is grown here. Later there's a gastronomic workshop with a local family, and you'll stay overnight in this highland village.

Landmarks/POIs Sierra Norte - Day 4
La Neveria to Latuvi to Oaxaca
After breakfast the hike to Latuvi starts on the Cipriano Cabrera trail with your guide. You'll move through different elevations and forest types, from cold pine areas down to oak forests, seeing the variety of flora and fauna along the way. Lunch is at the community restaurant in Latuvi, then you visit Doña Martha to see how traditional Mexican drinks like pulque and tepache are made. You'll head back to Oaxaca in the evening and have the night free to grab dinner wherever you'd like.
