Itinerary
- Day 1
Torshavn
You'll arrive in Torshavn and meet your tour leader at 3 pm. After getting oriented, head out on a guided walk through the Old Town where you'll see 14th-century wooden houses lining quiet streets. Stop by TUTL record store, which locals call the 'Happy Corner', and grab something at Paname Café. Later, make your way to Skansin at the harbor to check out the old fort and take in the water views. After that, the evening is yours to do as you like.

- Day 2
Gjogv and Eysturoy Island
Following breakfast, you'll head to Gjogv, a quiet village with fewer than 100 houses on the other side of the island. Walk around the streets and see the sea gorge, then stop at a local café for a hot drink included with your tour. Weather permitting, you can hike Mount Slaettaratindur, the highest peak in the Faroes with its distinctive flat top. On the drive back to Torshavn, you'll spot the 'Giant and his Wife,' which are dramatic sea stacks off Eysturoy Island. Your evening is free, so ask your leader for restaurant suggestions.

Kalsoy and Bordoy Islands
You'll take a ferry to Kalsoy and Bordoy Islands to see their dramatic terrain. Kalsoy has Mount Borgarin with its sail-shaped peak and the Kallur Lighthouse sitting on a ridge (it appeared in a recent James Bond film). A boat tour around Bordoy shows you towering mountains and seaside towns, depending on the weather. This evening you'll experience heimablidni, a traditional Faroese home dinner. You'll tour a local farm and have a home-cooked meal with your hosts while learning about Nordic island life and trying regional beverages.

Vagar Island
Head to Vagar Island in western Faroes for waterfalls, floating lakes, and historic farms. You'll see Sørvágsbj ørgini where Lake Leitisvatn appears to float above Atlantic cliffs, and the Traelanipa walk gives you the best views of this. Check out the impressive 30-metre Bosdalafossur Waterfall and World War II ruins. Lunch happens at a historic family farm with 17 generations of history, where you can tour the property and see their collection of historic items before eating traditional Faroese food. Tonight, celebrate by checking out Torshavn's local eateries and breweries.
