Vienne
Your ship pulls into Vienne, a historic town on the Rhône River south of Lyon. You can take a guided walk to see the Roman theatre that once held 10,000 spectators, or try an easy 19 km cycling route that passes Roman ruins and the temple of Augustus and Livia. Wine enthusiasts might prefer a private tasting of Condrieu and Saint-Joseph wines at a Chavanay vineyard. Later this afternoon, the ship heads to Tournon.

Cycling along the riverbanks to nearby Glun is another option. The afternoon is yours to explore town freely. Later, you'll meet other guests for an aperitif on the castle terrace with sweeping views, then head back to the ship for a dessert buffet of French pastries.
