- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lamabagar
Leave Kathmandu early and head out on a 170 km drive to Lamabagar in Dolakha district. You'll travel 8-10 hours by private jeep or local bus, and the road gets prettier but rougher once you pass Charikot. Along the way you'll see hydropower stations, small villages, and forested hills before reaching your teahouse or homestay for the night.

Landmarks Charikot - Day 2
Lumnan - Lapchi
Start with a jeep ride from Lamabagar to Lumnan, which covers 11.4 km in about 1-2 hours. After that, you'll trek through quiet forest trails heading toward Lapchi over 13.7 km, taking 4.5-5 hours total. The path has moderate slopes and you'll pass Mani walls, wooden bridges, stone-paved sections, chortens, and prayer wheels while climbing 1,046 meters. You'll finish at a guesthouse or stay at a monastery guestroom.

The spiritual quiet of this Buddhist settlement really sets it apart.

Later you might visit hidden caves and isolated monasteries. By afternoon you're back at the guesthouse with free time to meditate, journal, or take photos.

Lapchi to Lumnan to Lamabagar
Trek back toward Lumnan over 13.7 km, mostly downhill, which takes 3.5-4.5 hours as you walk through forest and along riverside paths. Once you reach Lumnan, catch a jeep ride back to Lamabagar, covering 11.4 km in 1-2 hours if one's available. You'll settle back into your teahouse or homestay in Lamabagar for the evening.

Lamabagar to Kathmandu
Travel back to Kathmandu by jeep or local bus for your final 170 km journey, which takes 8-10 hours. Sit back and relax during the drive through Dolakha's hills and valleys, and you should arrive in Kathmandu by evening.
