Itinerary
- Day 1
Adelaide to Kangaroo Island
You'll meet your group leader at 9 am at your hotel, then head to Cape Jervis about 2 hours south. The ferry to Kangaroo Island takes roughly 45 minutes, and keep watch for dolphins during the crossing. Once you arrive in Penneshaw and check into your hotel, walk the Sculpture Trail in the dunes above Hog's Bay. Later this evening, head to the Penguin Centre for a guided walk to see the world's smallest penguins returning to shore as it gets dark, which is really when they're most active.

- Day 2
Dudley Peninsula & Local Culture
Today focuses on Dudley Peninsula and what makes this region special. You'll visit a working sheep farm to watch shearing and meet the owner's kelpie dogs, then drive to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, South Australia's oldest. If you're up for it, there's a 500-step climb up Prospect Hill with views across the peninsula. After that, stop by a family-run eucalyptus oil refinery and a honey farm with the world's only pure Ligurian Bee strain. Browse the Kangaroo Island Gallery, and if time allows, taste some local wines before settling into your Kingscote hotel.

- Day 3
Emu Bay & Stokes Bay
After breakfast, you'll photograph Salt Lagoon before heading to Emu Bay Beach. If your group wants, stop by the lavender farm for their scones, then spend time on the white sand and wade in the clear water. Next, you'll go beach hopping to Stokes Bay, a secluded spot voted Australia's most beautiful in 2013. The area is rebuilding after the 2020 bushfires, with the National Trust restoring the community hall and habitats. Head back to Kingscote for a relaxed evening without rushed activities.

- Day 4
Seal Bay, Flinders Chase & Vivonne Bay
A ranger leads you at Seal Bay to watch sea lions swimming, playing, and resting on the rocks. Next stop is Little Sahara, where the sand dunes look like the North African desert and you can try sandboarding if interested. Then you'll go to Vivonne Bay before spending time in Flinders Chase National Park checking out Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, both shaped by wind and waves over centuries. After exploring the park, drive back to Kingscote.

- Day 5
Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
Start at American River to see the schooner 'Independence' from 1803 and learn about its ongoing restoration work. Walk through coastal scrub toward an old 19th-century fish cannery, looking out for rare glossy-black cockatoos. After that, drive back to Penneshaw and catch the ferry to Cape Jervis, then transfer back to Adelaide, about 2 hours drive. You'll arrive at your hotel around 4:30 pm where the tour wraps up.
