Itinerary
- Day 1
Makassar
You'll touch down at Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar where your guide meets you for the hotel transfer. Once you're settled in, there's a short city tour on the agenda. You'll see Fort Rotterdam, which is a well-preserved Dutch fortress from the colonial period, and then head to Paotere Anchorage where traditional Bugis and Makassarese schooners are moored. It's a good introduction to the city's maritime heritage and history.

Rammang-Rammang - Sengkang
The day starts early at 7:30 AM with a drive to Rammang-Rammang village. Once there, you'll board a traditional canoe and paddle along the Puteh River, taking in the limestone karst formations and Nypa palms as you go. After paddling, you'll walk through Berua Village and stop at a local home for traditional snacks. Later comes a trek through Limestone Park's Karst Towers with lunch included. By afternoon, you'll drive to Sengkang and explore Tempe Lake by motorised canoe, visiting floating houses and grabbing coffee and snacks.

Rantepao
This morning involves visiting a traditional silk factory where Buginese women create intricate silk fabrics on their looms. After watching the weaving process, you'll drive through the scenic landscapes around Siwa and Palopo on your way to Rantepao in the Toraja highlands. You'll check into your hotel when you arrive, giving you time to settle in and get acclimated to the cooler mountain air.

- Day 4
Rantepao
The day centers on experiencing Toraja culture across several key sites. You'll start at Lemo to see the Tau Tau statues and hanging graves carved into the cliffs. From there, head to Kambira to view baby graves housed in hollowed tree trunks, then move on to Londa to explore ancient tombs carved directly into the rock. After lunch, you'll visit Karuaya for panoramic views of the region, then take a short walk to Kete Kesu, one of the oldest villages where you can see original Tongkonan ancestral houses and traditional rice barns decorated with colorful woodcarvings.

Timonbayo - Batutumonga - Bori - Pallawa - Sa'dan Tubaranna - Rantepao
You'll journey to Timonbayo first, where rice fields scattered with ancient megalithic stones create a striking landscape view. Next comes the burial cave of Lokomata, followed by a short trek through Batutumongo to experience daily village life. After lunch, you'll visit Bori to see its remarkable collection of megalithic structures. Later, you'll stop at the traditional weaving villages of Pallawa and Sa'dan Tubaranna to see local craftspeople at work. The day concludes with a farewell dinner back in Rantepao.
