    You'll land at Bangkok airport and get transferred to your hotel. After checking in, take the rest of the day to recover from your journey and get settled in.

    Bangkok

    Head out early to catch the monks chanting at Wat Pho, then see the famous 45-metre reclining Buddha up close. The Grand Palace is next, where you'll view the Emerald Buddha. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a boat cruise up the Chao Phraya River and through the Khlongs, stopping at temples, an orchid farm, and getting to feed the holy catfish.

    Bangkok to Kanchanaburi

    Travel to Samut Songkhram Province to get a feel for traditional Thai countryside. You'll visit Mae Klong Railway market where vendors clear their stalls fast when trains pass through, then head to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market for a paddle boat ride (or Tha Kha market if it's a weekend, which is smaller and less crowded). After lunch, drive to Kanchanaburi to see the WWII memorial and cemetery, then take a scenic 30-minute train ride along the Death Railway before heading to your hotel.

    Drive to Bang Pa-In to check out the Summer Palace from the Ayutthaya era with its mix of European, Khmer, Thai, and Chinese styles. Continue to Ayutthaya and explore ancient temples via a unique Kermit tuk tuk, visiting Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat (famous for the Buddha face in the tree), and Wat Phra Srisanphet. You'll also walk through a local market along the way.

    Ayutthaya to Uthai Thani

    Head to Uthai Thani through Lopburi, starting with King Narai's Palace built in 1666 during the Ayutthaya Kingdom. Grab lunch on your own, then visit Ban Khok Mo village to see traditional weaving. Next is the Thasung temple and its crystal hall. Take a boat ride on the Sakaekrang River past floating houses, then spend the evening at the colorful night market in town.

    Travel about 45 minutes to Hub Patthard and go through a cave to reach a hidden valley. Visit Kampheang Phet, a UNESCO site with Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Phra Tat, and the Aranyik Archaeological Site. Drive through beautiful countryside to Phitsanulok, stopping at the Cha Tawee Folk Museum and Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat temple, which holds one of Thailand's most sacred Buddha images, before arriving in Sukhothai.

    After breakfast, grab a bicycle and start cycling through Sukhothai Historical Park with its nearly 200 ruined chedis in great shape. See the Ajana Buddha image at Wat Sri Chum, then cycle to Wat Prapailuang, the old community center. Visit Wat Sri Sawai, Wat Sra Sri, and Wat Trapang Ngoen. In the afternoon, transfer to Lampang.

    Chiang Rai

    Explore northern Thailand's wooded mountains by traveling to Mae Salong, climbing through green hills with tea plantations. You'll taste local tea and visit an ethnic minority Akah village called Loyo. Stop at Mae Fah Luang botanical garden. By late afternoon, you'll reach the Golden Triangle and take a boat trip on the Mekong River to see where Thailand, Burma, and Laos meet.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
