Itinerary
- Day 1
Paro
You'll arrive at Paro International Airport where your guide meets you. After checking out the bird's eye view point above the airport for those panoramic views, head to your hotel to settle in and adjust to the altitude. You'll get to wear traditional Bhutanese dress and receive a bottle of red rice wine as part of your welcome experience.

- Day 2
Paro
This is a full hiking day to Tiger's Nest Monastery, which takes about 5-6 hours round trip covering 10 km total. The monastery sits on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro valley and was built back in 1692. You'll climb up to around 3,150 meters elevation. After finishing the hike, you'll head to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of 108 temples from the 7th century, to see the 8-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha statue housed there.

Paro to Thimphu
Early morning drive to Thimphu (72 km, takes about 2.5 hours) and you'll cross Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge along the way. In the capital, you'll see Buddha Dordenma, a massive statue at Buddha Point, then walk through the National Memorial Chorten dedicated to the Third King. Stop by the Royal Takin Preserve where you can see Bhutan's national animal. Before dinner, you'll explore Tashichho Dzong and later eat at the Folk Heritage Museum Restaurant.

- Day 4
Thimphu to Punakha
You'll drive to Punakha (74 km, approximately 2.5 hours) passing through Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens built to honor soldiers. From there, head to Chimi Lhakhang, the Fertility Temple surrounded by rice fields where couples come to pray for children. Later, walk around Punakha Dzong, situated where two rivers meet and considered one of Bhutan's most beautiful fortresses. It's also the winter home of the Chief Abbot.

- Day 5
Punakha to Paro
Start with a morning hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, crossing a suspension bridge and then walking for 45 minutes to reach the stupa with great views of Punakha Valley and Punakha Dzong below. Next, visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendup Lhakhang Nunnery where about 120 nuns live and study, with views of both Punakha Valley and Wangduephodrang Valley. By afternoon, drive back to Paro (110 km, about 3.5 hours) for your final night.

Your guide will meet you at the hotel this morning and drive you to Paro International Airport (50 km, about 1.5 hours). This marks the end of your Bhutan trip. Hopefully you've collected some great memories and experiences during your time here.
