- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and get transferred to your hotel to check in and get settled. This evening, join the rest of the group for a welcome meeting where you can meet your fellow travelers and hear what's coming up over the next week.

Cairo
Head out with your Egyptologist guide to see the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, getting up close to these ancient structures. After that, you'll go to a local farm that's part of the Nawaya project where women run a community kitchen. There you'll learn to make traditional Egyptian dishes and have lunch while learning about their sustainable farming.

Cairo to Aswan
Fly to Aswan in the morning and check out the High Dam and Philae Temple, which was built for the Goddess Isis. You'll board your Nile River cruise ship, grab lunch, and have free time by the pool. Later, take a sunset felucca ride to a Nubian village to experience local customs, learn about the Nubian language, have tea, then return to the ship for dinner.

Aswan to Edfu
The morning is free on the ship, though you can book an optional trip to the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel if you want (flights included). After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo and walk through the riverside temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god. From there, continue sailing to Edfu where you'll stay for the night.

Edfu to Luxor
In the morning, explore Edfu Temple and learn about its 200-year construction period and its connection to Horus, the God of War and Sky. Sail to Luxor and dock for the evening. You'll have lunch and dinner onboard while seeing the scenic Nile River banks pass by.

Luxor
Start with a bike ride to the Funtasia project on Luxor's West Bank, stopping for tea and learning about this community initiative. Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, built for Egypt's powerful female pharaoh, and see the Colossi of Memnon nearby. Have a late lunch at a local family home, then spend the afternoon in the Valley of the Kings exploring over 63 tombs, with the option to visit Tutankhamen's tomb.

Luxor to Cairo
Walk through Karnak Temple in the morning to see the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns, the world's largest religious room. Lunch is on your own in Luxor, then fly to Cairo and check into your hotel. That evening, a local expert takes you on a food tour through urban food counters and small specialty restaurants, talking about traditional Egyptian dishes and their cultural meaning.

Cairo
Spend the morning at the Grand Egyptian Museum doing an interactive scavenger hunt through over 100,000 historical artifacts. In the afternoon, walk through Islamic Cairo's back roads to Khan el-Khalili, the city's oldest market. Wrap up with a farewell dinner near your hotel where you can share stories from your trip.
