Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Kandy
You'll meet your driver at Colombo International Airport and make your way to Kandy. Once there, head to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which holds major significance in Sri Lankan Buddhism and draws pilgrims from across the country. After that, check out the Geragama Tea Factory to walk through their tea production process and learn about their operations going back to 1903. By evening, you'll catch a traditional cultural performance with local music and dance, which gives you a real sense of Sri Lankan artistic traditions.

Bentota
This is your full day in Bentota with complete freedom to do what appeals to you. The beaches here are excellent for swimming or just sitting under the palms. If water activities interest you, jet skiing and snorkeling are available. For something different, the Brief Garden offers nice landscaping and plant collections, or you can visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery if you want to see sea turtle conservation work. There's also traditional Ayurvedic massage and spa treatments if you want to relax that way. Grab lunch at one of the beachfront restaurants serving fresh seafood, or simply rest and do very little if that's what appeals to you.

Bentota to Colombo
After breakfast, you'll head back toward Colombo for a city tour before your flight. Walk through the Fort area with its colonial-era government buildings and local shops selling everything from souvenirs to everyday goods. Stop at the Gangaramaya Temple, which sits right in the city and blends Buddhist architecture with modern urban surroundings. Then take a walk along Galle Face Green, a wide seafront promenade where locals fly kites and play cricket, especially in the late afternoon. From there, your driver will take you to the airport for your onward flight.
