Arrival in Melbourne
You'll arrive at Melbourne airport and get transferred to your hotel right on the Yarra River. After settling in, you'll meet your Travel Director and the rest of the group at dinner at a waterfront restaurant that evening.

Melbourne
Start with a private walk through Melbourne's Victorian architecture and laneways with your Travel Director. You'll see Federation Square and its galleries, then head to St Paul's Cathedral. The afternoon is free to explore on your own, or you can join an optional penguin parade trip to Phillip Island.

This day is completely yours. You could wander through Queen Victoria Market, check out boutiques on Brunswick Street, or hit up the local cafes. If you want something bigger, take the Great Ocean Road drive to see the Twelve Apostles and the coastal town of Apollo Bay.

Melbourne to Uluru
You'll fly from Melbourne toward Ayers Rock Resort, flying over salt lakes and red desert. After arriving, head out for the classic Uluru sunset experience with sparkling wine and light snacks. Later that evening, there's an optional BBQ dinner with star talk available at your hotel.

Uluru
Wake early for sunrise at Uluru with hot cocoa, then tour the base with your Travel Director to see the rock art and learn Anangu stories. Meet an Anangu artist who shares the spiritual meaning of Western Desert art. Later, walk through Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta and watch the sunset with sparkling wine.

Uluru to Cairns
There's an optional chance to see Bruce Munro's Field of Light installation at dawn, watching colors change as the sun comes up with Uluru in the distance. After that, you'll fly to Cairns for the next part of your trip.

Cairns
Cairns gives you several options. Try hot air ballooning over the Atherton Tablelands, or take a guided walk into the Daintree Rainforest. You could also do the historic train to Kuranda and return on the Skyrail, and add Hartley's Crocodile Adventures if you want. For dinner, head to Salt House on the waterfront for regional seafood.

Great Barrier Reef
Board a fast catamaran heading out to the Great Barrier Reef. You can choose to snorkel and see the fish and coral, or stay dry in a semi-submersible craft. Your guide talks through the ecology of the reef while you relax and enjoy lunch buffet onboard.

Cairns to Sydney
Fly south to Sydney and spend the afternoon and evening getting to know the city. From your hotel near the center, walk around Circular Quay or find a pub or restaurant that interests you. The city's pretty easy to navigate on foot.

Sydney
Take a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House with a Local Specialist who'll explain how it changed the country's image. Then board a harbour lunch cruise with local food and wine. Afterward, head to Bondi Beach to spend time on the sand with the locals.

Sydney
You have the full day free in Sydney to do what you want. Alternatively, take an optional trip to the Blue Mountains to see the Three Sisters rock formation and hear the Aboriginal legend behind it. The mountain air and views are pretty great.

Sydney
Spend your last full day exploring the Rocks District with its historic buildings and Aboriginal artifacts at the museums.
