Istanbul
You'll arrive at Istanbul Airport and get settled into your accommodation in the city center. This evening, head to Roof Mezze 360, a rooftop restaurant where you can see the Bosphorus lit up at night along with the Galata Tower, Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque. Try traditional Turkish meze appetizers and drinks while taking in the views and atmosphere of the city.

In the afternoon, walk through the ancient Roman Hippodrome and then go down into the Basilica Cistern, where you'll see the hundreds of columns reflected in the water.

Head over to the Galata district and climb Galata Tower to see panoramic views of Istanbul's streets, minarets, domes, and the Bosphorus from the top. After you come back down, walk through the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest covered marketplaces, where there are hand-woven carpets, jewelry, ceramics, and spices for sale. Stop by some historic coffee shops throughout the day for meals and drinks.

This day takes you to Yedikule Fortress, a historical fortification that once served as Constantinople's main gateway, prison, and defensive structure. Walk along the Theodosian Walls, which stretch for kilometers and contain ancient gates, watchtowers, and forgotten churches. You'll get views of the city and sea from the walls and see the raw historical depth of Istanbul carved into the stone.
