London to Amsterdam
Your Contiki group kicks off in London where you'll meet everyone before heading across the English Channel. You'll pass by the White Cliffs of Dover on the way, then take a ferry to Calais and drive through Belgium. By evening you're in Amsterdam with dinner included, and there's an optional canal panorama tour if you want to see the city lit up at night.

Amsterdam
Amsterdam is yours to explore however you like. You can bar hop around the city, hit up some museums, or just grab a seat at a cafe and watch the world go by. The local pancakes and frites are worth trying, and there's usually a good vibe no matter where you end up. Later on, you have options to join a dinner at a Dutch farm or take a canal cruise through the illuminated waterways.

Amsterdam to Berlin
You'll head out of Amsterdam toward Berlin via the autobahn, which gives you a chance to settle in with your group. Once you arrive, there's a guided tour and dinner to get you oriented. Berlin's known for its nightlife, so you'll have the rest of the evening and tomorrow night to check it out and see what the fuss is about.

Berlin
Berlin has a lot of history to unpack if you want it. You can join optional walking tours covering 20th century sites like Checkpoint Charlie or the Holocaust Memorial, or head to Hitler's underground bunker if that interests you. Later in the day, check out the city's street art scene on your own, or join an Alternative Berlin tour that focuses on the hipster neighborhoods and local culture.

Berlin to Prague
Leaving Berlin means heading toward Prague with a stop in Dresden. The city's post-WWII Baroque architecture is really something, particularly the Royal Residence, Zwinger Palace, and the Frauenkirche. You'll push on to Prague after that and get your first look at the castles and Gothic architecture the city's famous for.

- Day 6
Prague
Spend the full day walking around Prague's Gothic quarters and market areas. There's plenty of time to wander through antique shops, try some local beer, and get photos of the historic sites. When evening comes around, you can join a traditional Czech dinner experience with local folklore dancers, or just grab food on your own.

Prague to Vienna
On the way to Vienna, you'll stop in Kutna Hora to visit the Sedlec Ossuary Chapel, which is decorated with bones from over 40,000 people and it's quite a unique experience. Then you continue on to Vienna where you can either join a Make Travel Matter Experience or just relax after the drive.

Vienna
Your Trip Manager will walk you through Vienna's main historical sites including Schonbrunn Palace, the State Opera House, and St. Stephen's Cathedral. You'll also drive along the historic Ring Road to see the city's layout. After that, free time opens up so you can explore art galleries, sit in a local coffee house, try the Sacher Torte, or join a Classic Night Out.

Krakow
Today is a visit to the Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camp memorials, which is a solemn and educational look at WWII history. You'll return to Krakow afterward with a free evening. Try pierogi, the traditional Polish dumplings that are everywhere here.

Krakow to Budapest
Departing Krakow for Budapest means driving through alpine scenery and passing through traditional villages. You'll stop in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, a pastel-painted charming town, for lunch. That's three countries in one travel day. Once in Budapest, there's an optional river cruise and dinner available.

Budapest
Budapest's yours to enjoy at whatever pace feels right. You could soak in one of the famous thermal baths or head to Margaret Island to walk through the gardens and fountains. This is a good day to rest up after all the ground you've covered so far.

Budapest to Ljubljana
Leaving Budapest, you head south toward Slovenia and arrive in Ljubljana, a charming European city that feels off the usual tourist path. There aren't a ton of famous monuments to check off, so you're free to just relax at a cafe and absorb the local atmosphere without the crowds.

Ljubljana to Venice
From Ljubljana you'll travel to Venice, boarding a motoscafo to navigate through the canals and reach the city center. If you want, there's an optional gondola ride, or you can join a guided food tour instead. Otherwise, just wander the maze of streets and find your own way around.

Venice to Rome
Leaving Venice for Rome means arriving in Italy's eternal capital. This afternoon you'll check out some iconic Roman landmarks. You have the choice to join a pasta making class and cook your own dinner, or explore Rome's historic sites on your own after dark.

Rome
You can pack a lot into one Roman day. Get photos by the Colosseum with pink azaleas, toss coins into the Trevi Fountain, and have espresso while sitting in piazzas. It's all the classic Roman experience, one step at a time.

Rome to Florence

Florence to Swiss Alps
Leaving Florence means heading to the Swiss Alps. Before you go, stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa one more time for final photos. When you arrive in Switzerland, you'll be surrounded by fairytale snowcapped mountains and can join an optional fondue dinner.

Swiss Alps
Wake up to mountain views from your room in the Swiss Alps. If you're feeling adventurous, join your group for a mountain excursion or try paragliding. If not, just explore this classic European adventure town at your own pace.

Swiss Alps to Paris

Paris
