Ljubljana
After picking up your rental car, you'll head to the hotel to get settled in. Spend the afternoon on your own, walking along the river and grabbing coffee at a local spot. Wander through the Old Town streets and check out Ljubljana Castle for views over the city. Stop by the Triple Bridge, walk through Prešeren Square, and sample some Slovenian food at the City Market before dinner.

- Day 2
Ljubljana to Bovec
Drive toward Bovec and stop at Vintgar Gorge on the way to see where the Radovna River cuts through narrow canyons with waterfalls and turquoise pools visible from wooden walkways. Once you arrive in Bovec, get settled into your apartment. If you have energy left, walk around the mountain town in the Julian Alps. Grab dinner at one of the local restaurants serving Balkan food or pizza.

Bovec
Start early with a hike to Boka Waterfall, which stands at 106 meters high and gives you great viewpoints of the area. In the afternoon, you'll go rafting on the Sočа River with guides who'll take you through deep sections, cliff jumps, and water slides. Finish the day with dinner at Nono Pizza.

Bovec
After breakfast, head out for canyoning in Sušec canyon, where you'll navigate water-carved slides, jump into pools, and swim in clear water. In the afternoon, walk to Virje Waterfall and take in the cascades while cooling off in the icy-cold lake underneath.

Bovec
Shift your focus to hiking with a climb up Svinjak, sometimes called the 'Slovenian Matterhorn,' which gives you 360-degree views of the Julian Alps including Mount Triglav and the Sočа River valley. Later, explore the Great Sočа Gorge with its 15-meter deep canyon, then walk through Šunik Water Grove with its cascades and continue to the Source of the Sočа River. Stop at the Outdoor Museum Čelo to see First World War trenches and fortifications from that area.

Bovec to Lake Bled
On your way to the airport, make a final stop at Lake Bled to see the island with the Church of the Assumption of Mary, which you can reach by traditional boat or by swimming. Visit Bled Castle sitting on a 130-meter cliff for views over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Then head to the airport for your departure.
