    Bastia to Corte

You'll arrive in Bastia and drive to Corte, a mountain town where you'll spend the day getting oriented. Start by heading up to the 15th-century Corte Citadel for views across the region. The Corsica Museum gives you solid background on local culture and history if you want that context. From there, walk through the old town's winding streets, check out the artisan shops selling local goods, and find a traditional Corsican restaurant for lunch or dinner.

    Restonica Gorge

Today takes you into the Restonica Gorge for a day of hiking and swimming. Starting from Corte, you'll walk to the Saint-Antoine Chapel, then follow the Restonica River trail deeper into the gorge where the cliffs rise up dramatically on both sides. The water stays clear and cold as you go. Stop at the Tragone di a Restonica viewpoint for photos, grab food or a drink at Chez César mountain restaurant, and finish by swimming in the natural pools to cool off after hiking.

  3. Day 3

    Corsica Regional Natural Park

You're spending the day in the Regional Natural Park, which covers roughly 40% of Corsica. The landscape shifts between thick forests, quiet lakes, steep gorges, and mountains with jagged ridges. You might spot golden eagles, bearded vultures, or wild boars moving through the park, though sightings aren't guaranteed. This is a day to move through the protected environment and take in the scale and variety of what the island protects.

    Corte to Calvi

You're driving toward Calvi today, so plan for several hours on the road with stops. Pass through Ponte-Leccia, a mountain village where you can stretch your legs and see the surrounding views. Later, head to L'Île-Rousse on the coast, where you can walk the streets or sit with coffee looking out at the harbor. Then continue to Calvi, where the cobbled streets near the harbor are worth exploring. The 16th-century Notre Dame de la Serra church sits above town and offers panoramic views if you want to make that detour.

    Capu di a Veta Hike

This is a challenging hike up Capu di a Veta, one of Corsica's major peaks. The trail moves through forests, over craggy rocks, and across rolling terrain as you climb higher. By the time you reach the summit, you'll see jagged mountain ranges in all directions, deep valleys below, the Monte Cinto range to one side, and the Mediterranean sparkling in the distance. It's a physical day but the views from the top make it worth the effort.

The boat moves close to towering cliffs, glides past hidden caves, and shows you water so clear you can see down into it. Watch for ospreys as you cruise the wild coastline. During the trip you'll get time to swim in the water, snorkel if you want to see the marine life up close, and cold drinks are provided throughout.
