- Day 1
Venice
Start by settling into Venice and getting comfortable with how the city flows. You'll walk through some of the main basilicas and check out a few museums that showcase what makes the place culturally interesting. By evening, grab dinner at a local spot where you can sit with a view and taste what the region offers. This first day is really about getting your bearings and starting to understand the layout of the city.

- Day 2
Murano - Burano
Hop on a boat heading out to the islands around Venice. First stop is Murano, where you'll watch glassmakers doing their work at furnaces and creating pieces right in front of you. Then move on to see an old Byzantine church on the island. Later, you'll head to Burano to walk around streets lined with colorful buildings and see how locals still make lace the traditional way. The boat rides between islands give you nice breaks to take in the water and scenery.

- Day 3
Venice to Verona
Spend the full day heading to Verona, a city with serious historical weight tied to the Romeo and Juliet story. You'll see medieval bridges crossing the river, walk through old squares where the city's history feels present, visit that famous balcony everyone knows about, and check out the Roman amphitheater that's still standing after all these centuries. It's the kind of place where you can feel different time periods all at once. Plan for a couple hours travel time each direction from Venice.

- Day 4
Venice
Spend your last full day hitting Venice's most recognizable spots. The Doge's Palace shows how the city was governed, while St. Mark's Basilica has the kind of interior detail that takes time to appreciate properly. You'll cross the Bridge of Sighs and then wander through some quieter neighborhood spots that don't get as crowded. It's a good way to say goodbye to the city while checking off the main things you wanted to see.

- Day 5
Venice to Airport
On your last morning, there's time for quick shopping or just walking around one more time depending on when your flight leaves. Head to Mestre FS station and catch bus line 35 to Venice Marco Polo Airport, or look at other airport service options available that day. Give yourself enough time at the airport before departure so you're not rushed through check-in and security.
