Prague
You'll arrive in Prague, a city that's preserved so much of its medieval character over the past thousand years. The Vltava River splits things up nicely, with the historic Old Town on one side and the newer sections across the water. It's a good time to settle in and get your bearings around the city.

Prague
A local guide will take you through the Gothic side of Prague this morning. You'll walk past the Old Town, see the Astronomical Clock, and cross Charles Bridge, which has been standing since 1357. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to wander around and find your own spots to check out.

Prague
You get to pick how to spend your day here. There's a Communist-era walking tour with beer tasting at a brewery, or head to the Terezin Memorial to understand more about WWII. Another option takes you to Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and Golden Lane if you prefer architecture and history.

Prague to Vilshofen
A coach takes you to Vilshofen where you'll board your river cruise vessel. It's a straightforward travel day, but once you're on board, the real journey along the Danube starts.

Passau
You dock in Passau, where three rivers meet the Danube. Walk through the colorful Old Town and St. Stephens Cathedral, or try an e-bike ride across into Austria along the River Inn. Photography enthusiasts can spend time capturing the best views. You'll leave for Linz in the early afternoon.

Linz
Linz is known for its music and arts scene, and you have a full day to experience it. Explore the Old Town with its Baroque Main Square and harbor street art on foot with a guide, or take an excursion to Salzburg to see Mozart's birthplace and Hohensalzburg Fortress. Cesky Krumlov, a Czech World Heritage town with Gothic and Baroque buildings, is also an option.

Melk - Dürnstein
Melk Abbey, a World Heritage site, dominates the town. In the morning, you can tour this grand 18th-century abbey with its Marble Hall and library, or visit Artstetten Castle and its museum instead. A wine tasting at a local Wachau Valley winery is another choice. Later, you'll cruise through vineyards and small villages before docking in Durnstein for free time. There's an optional schnapps talk and tasting onboard if interested.
