Santarém
You'll start your journey in Santarém, one of the oldest cities in the Amazon where the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers meet. This morning, walk through the colorful markets to see medicinal herbs, exotic fruits, and traditional crafts. After lunch, you'll cruise the Tapajós River toward Jari Canal, passing golden sandy shores and small riverside villages. Dinner happens onboard, and then you'll head out on an evening boat trip to look for nocturnal wildlife in the darkness.

Jari Canal to Ponta Grande Cove
Early morning takes you out on a private boat through Jari Canal searching for freshwater dolphins, iguanas, herons, kingfishers, and tropical birds. The boat then heads toward Ponta Grande Cove on the Arapiuns River, where you'll see white-sand banks and turquoise waters. Later in the afternoon, you'll watch the sunset from another private boat before heading back to the ship for dinner.

Local Village Visit to Urucurea Cove
You'll take a private boat to a local riverside village to see traditional life firsthand, including a tour of the casa da farinha where manioc flour gets made using ancestral methods. From there, you can check out stingless bee hives that produce rare local honey. The boat then cruises toward Urucurera Cove, giving you time to relax on the sun deck. Dinner is served onboard.

Before dawn, you'll head out on a guided forest walk where you might see playful Zig-Zog monkeys or hear Guaribas howler monkeys calling through the trees. Later, you'll visit a village known for traditional basket weaving using forest fibers and natural dyes. From there, you cruise toward Alter do Chão, called the 'Caribbean of the Amazon.' A special dinner happens on a sandbank under the stars.

This morning brings an immersive guided walk through primary rainforest led by local community members, where you'll see towering trees and medicinal plants. You'll follow the route of the Langsdorff expedition and visit a historic Munduruku village. At sunset, you'll observe wildlife from a private boat, then experience a rare traditional ritual under the canopy by oil lamp light.

Morning exploration happens in a traditional pirogue while you watch for Amazonian wildlife and flora, including water birds, giant water lilies, and monkeys waking up. You'll cruise toward Alter do Chão, known as the pearl of the Tapajós with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. At the village, you can explore local artisan shops and see what local crafters make.

Amazon River Cruise to Óbidos
Today you'll cruise along the wide Amazon River past golden sandy beaches, lush islands, and floating villages. A private boat takes you to Óbidos, a well-preserved colonial town founded in the 17th century by the Portuguese. You'll walk through the historic center seeing colorful houses, cobblestone streets, wrought-iron balconies, and the Church of Sant'Ana.

Early morning takes you deep into the Amazon wilderness to observe wildlife and plant life. You'll explore the colorful town of Parintins by tuk-tuk, visiting secret warehouses where giant sets and costumes for the Parintins Festival get stored (the festival runs the last weekend of June with legendary oxen called Garantido and Caprichoso). In the afternoon, a private boat takes you through lakes spotting pink dolphins and howler monkeys, then to a small village to meet locals.

In the afternoon, you'll cruise to see where the muddy Solimões River and dark Rio Negro waters meet and flow side by side for kilometers before joining the Amazon. A private speedboat explores Janauari Lake through flooded forest, and sunset brings a ritual under a village maloca (communal dwelling).

This morning you'll cruise to Vila Paraiso and visit the Rubber Museum, which shows the rubber industry's rise and fall through artifacts and recreations of 19th-century rubber plantations, telling the story of seringueiros (latex gatherers). In the afternoon, you'll tour Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon, checking out the historic center, the iconic Teatro Amazonas (Manaus Opera House), and the Adolpho Lisboa Market with its vibrant colors and aromas.
