Itinerary
- Day 1
Moshi to Tarangire National Park
You'll head out on a 4-hour drive from Kili Cottages Hotel to reach Tarangire National Park. The dry season brings large groups of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx to the Tarangire River, so you'll spend the day watching wildlife throughout the park. By late afternoon, your driver takes you back to Kili Cottages Hotel in Moshi.

Mt. Kilimanjaro Base Hike
About an hour from Moshi, you'll start hiking the Marangu Route at 1,970m, then trek through Montane Forest for three hours to reach Mandara Hut at 2,700m near the forest belt border below Maundi Crater. Along the way, you'll spot Black and White Colobus monkeys and colorful birds, with views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch, you can choose to do a short but tough walk up to Maundi Crater if you want, then hike back down. A vehicle brings you back to Moshi afterward. The total hiking takes 6 to 7 hours.

Kikuletwa Hot Springs
You'll head to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, located in the Sanya plains between Arusha and Moshi. This natural pool sits among fig trees and gives you a chance to cool off after your safari and hiking. When it's clear, you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro from here. After spending time at the springs, you'll return to Kili Cottages Hotel for the evening.
