Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive at the airport and get transferred to your hotel, with check-in opening around 2 pm. The afternoon and evening are yours to use however you'd like. You can wander around Bangkok on your own, check out some temples, try street food, or book an optional boat trip through the Chao Phraya klongs if you're interested in seeing more.

- Day 2
Bangkok
After breakfast, you'll head out in an e-tuk tuk to Wat Pho to catch the monks' morning chants and see the reclining Buddha. From there, the Grand Palace is next, where you can see the throne rooms and Emerald Buddha. Thai lunch follows at a local restaurant, then you'll visit the Bangkok City Pillar Shrine and climb up 318 steps to Wat Saket for views of the city. An evening dinner cruise is available if you want to add that on.

Bangkok to Kanchanaburi
This morning takes you to Rome Hub Railway Market, where fresh stalls line both sides of an active rail line and vendors quickly pack up as trains pass through. Later you'll head to Kanchanaburi to visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Center museum and learn about the Death Railway's history. After lunch, you'll see the Bridge on the River Kwai and relax at The Curve Café with views of both the railroad and river.

Kanchanaburi
Following breakfast, you'll drive to Erawan Waterfall, a 7-tiered waterfall located in Erawan National Park. Bring good walking shoes and swimwear since there are several bathing areas you can reach after a short hike up the trails.

Kanchanaburi to Hua Hin
You're heading from Kanchanaburi toward Hua Hin while stopping through the provincial capital of Petchburi along the way. You'll visit Khao Luang Cave with its 170 golden Buddha statues and stalactites, then see Phra Nakhorn Khiri (the former summer palace of King Mongkut), and finish at the ancient temple Wat Mahathat.

Hua Hin to Sam Roi Yod
The drive south takes you through pineapple plantations and past the fishing village of Bangpu on your way to Sam Roi Yod, Thailand's oldest national park. At Koh Pai pier, you'll board a longtail boat to reach Khaochubkan Cave (Kissing Mountain Cave), famous for its unique limestone formations that create an interesting silhouette at sunset. Keep your eyes open for birds and wildlife along the waterway.

Sam Roi Yod to Chumphon
You'll spend the morning at Kui Buri National Park, Thailand's first safari park, watching for wild animals. After lunch at a local restaurant, you're heading to the golden temple Phra Mahathat Chedi Phakdee Prakat, which sits on a gently curving hill with views across the coastal landscape and the Gulf of Thailand. By evening, you'll continue south and arrive in Chumphon.

Chumphon to Khao Lak
Continuing south, you'll reach Khao Sok and arrive at Anurak Community Lodge in time for lunch. A relaxed canoe tour through jungle rivers (about 1 to 1.5 hours) takes you under the forest canopy where you'll paddle past exotic birds, monkeys, and sleeping snakes beneath steep limestone cliffs. You'll stop midway for tea and coffee prepared over an open fire, then paddle on to Khao Lak.

Khao Lak
You'll be picked up from your hotel and driven to Cheow Lan Lake jetty. A one-hour longtail boat ride lets you take in the limestone cliffs and jungle views. Lunch happens at a floating raft house, and after that you'll trek to Prakaipetch Cave (if weather allows). The boat takes you back to the pier for your return transfer to the hotel.
