Itinerary
- Day 1
Munich to Bangkok
You'll head out from Munich in the afternoon, catching a flight through Doha that gets you to Bangkok the next day. It's a long journey, so settle in for the travel time and try to rest when you can on the plane.



- Day 2
Bangkok
After landing around midday, you'll take a longtail boat through the Thonburi Klongs where the pace of life on the water is much slower and quieter. From there, you'll head to Wat Arun temple before checking into your hotel. Dinner wraps up your arrival day.

- Day 3
Bangkok
Bangkok's main sights are on the agenda today. You'll travel by bus and boat along the Chao Phraya River, taking in the Royal Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo temple complex where the Emerald Buddha sits. Then there's Wat Trimitr with its 5-ton Golden Buddha. The afternoon is yours to wander around and see what interests you.

Bangkok to Sukothai
The journey north begins with a trip to Ayutthaya, the former royal city where you can walk through the ruins of its grand past. After lunch, you'll continue toward Sukothai with a stop in Phitsanulok along the way. By evening you're settling in at your overnight stay in Sukothai, roughly 440 km from Bangkok.

- Day 5
Sukothai to Chiang Rai
Morning takes you through Sukothai's historical park on a comfortable streetcar, passing lotus ponds, temples, and sculptures. The impressive Wat Sri Chum with its 11-meter-high seated Buddha is a highlight. From there, you'll drive north to Chiang Rai with a stop in the scenic lakeside town of Phayao, covering about 410 km.

Chiang Rai
You'll check out Wat Rong Khun, the white temple, and Wat Rong Suer Ten, the blue temple, both designed by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. Later, you head to the Golden Triangle where Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand meet. A boat trip on the Mekong River lets you experience this significant waterway firsthand.

Chiang Rai to Fang
The mountain scenery gets more dramatic as you travel to Fang in Doi Pha Hom National Park near the Burmese border. You'll meet the Lahu hill tribe community and stay at their guesthouse. A four-wheel drive takes you to the tea village to watch production and help prepare lunch. After a farewell celebration with music and dancing, there's a walk to hot springs in the afternoon, with the day covering roughly 120 km.

- Day 9
Chiang Mai
Walking through Chiang Mai's old town this morning gives you a feel for the handicraft capital of Thailand. You'll stroll through the traditional Somphet market and visit Wat Chiang Man temple. Lunch happens at a typical local street food spot. In the afternoon, you'll head up to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the mountain temple with panoramic views, and cap the evening at the night market with its art, handicrafts, and food stalls.

Khao Lak
This day is yours to relax at the resort and recover from the busy exploration through northern Thailand. It's a good time to sit with your thoughts about everything you've seen over the past week and just unwind by the beach.

In the afternoon, you'll transfer from Khao Lak back to Phuket Airport. Your evening departure heads out through Doha on the return flight to Munich.
