Arrival in Zurich
You'll arrive in Zurich and get settled at your hotel. This evening there's a Welcome Reception where you'll meet the other travelers on your trip.

- Day 2
Zurich to Lucerne
Start with a guided walk around Zurich, checking out Bahnhofstrasse and Grossmünster Church, then stroll along Limmatquai boulevard next to the Limmat River. After that you'll head through the Swiss countryside to Lucerne. Dinner at your hotel includes fellow travelers, so it's a good chance to get to know the group better.

Lucerne

Later you'll take the world's steepest cogwheel railway up Mt Pilatus for views across the region. There's an optional Swiss Folklore Show and Dinner available this evening if you're interested.

Lucerne to Interlaken
After breakfast, travel by coach to Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland. Once you check into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the resort town at your own pace before dinner.

Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe)
Take a cogwheel train up to Jungfraujoch at 3,454 meters, Europe's highest railway station. The journey takes you through the Bernese Alps with views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and alpine meadows. Spend time at the Ice Palace and Sphinx Observatory once you reach the top.

Interlaken to Lausanne via GoldenPass Express
Board the GoldenPass Express for a scenic train ride through the Swiss countryside heading to Montreux. You'll pass through charming towns like Gstaad, Château-d'Oex, and Montbovon. Later a local train takes you to Lausanne where you have free time to see what the city has to offer.

Lausanne to Basel via Bern
Stop in Bern for a guided tour of Switzerland's capital. From there you'll continue to Basel where you board your river ship. A welcome reception in the evening lets you meet your Cruise Director and fellow passengers.

Black Forest (Triberg)

Strasbourg
Arrive in Strasbourg, the Alsatian city on the France-Germany border. You'll have a guided walking tour through the old town to see the medieval architecture and famous cathedral. During a food tasting you can try local cheeses and regional sweets.

Rhine Gorge to Rüdesheim
Cruise through the Rhine Gorge, known as the most scenic part of the Rhine with steep vineyard slopes and dramatic castles along the banks. In Rüdesheim, hop on the Winzerexpress mini road train for a ride through town and visit Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum.

Moselle River to Cochem
Navigate scenic stretches of the Moselle River by ship. When you reach Cochem, take a walking tour through narrow alleyways lined with half-timbered houses and visit Cochem Castle, which sits on a hill overlooking the river.

Cologne and Brühl
The ship takes you to Cologne where you'll learn about the Kölner Dom cathedral and its six-century construction history. Then travel by coach to Brühl to explore Augustusburg Palace, a World Heritage site with landscaped gardens. You'll return to Cologne with free time to explore the city center on your own.
