Lucerne
This morning features a cogwheel railway ride up Mount Pilatus, which climbs at the world's steepest gradient. Lucerne to Zermatt
You'll travel through Interlaken and head to Zermatt, a car-free alpine resort town with the Matterhorn rising above. This evening is relaxed, so you can either walk through the village streets or unwind at your hotel, which has spa facilities and mountain views.

Zermatt
After breakfast, a guided tour takes you through Zermatt's Hinterdorf (Old Village), featuring about 30 traditional chalets and shops from the 16th to 18th centuries. The afternoon and evening are free, and there's an optional scenic helicopter flight if you want something extra.

Zermatt to St. Moritz
You'll travel to Brigg to board the Glacier Express, a narrow-gauge train that runs along one of the world's most scenic rail routes. Through panoramic windows, you'll see jagged peaks, meadows, vineyards, and forested slopes as the train heads to St. Moritz. You'll check in to your hotel before dinner.

St. Moritz to Salzburg
The route crosses into Austria through the alpine town of Kitzbuehel and continues to Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace. Salzburg

Passau
You'll walk through Passau's Altstadt on the cobblestone streets and see the historic architecture. Later, you'll visit the Aldersbach Brewery, founded in 1268, where local musicians greet you. There's a brewery tour followed by locally brewed beer and food tastings in the festival hall with live music.

Tonight, the Captain's Farewell Dinner celebrates the end of your river cruise.
