Avignon
This morning you can explore Arles with a guide, checking out the Romanesque cathedral and Roman amphitheater. Or you might take a special walking tour focused on Van Gogh's time in Arles and visit the Vincent van Gogh Foundation, or go on a guided bike tour instead. After lunch, you'll head to Avignon for a walking tour covering the Papal Palace, medieval walls, and the UNESCO-listed historic center. Food tastings are available if you're interested in trying regional items like macarons, cheese, wine, and tapenades.

Grignan
You can take a guided tour through the charming medieval city of Viviers to see 16th and 18th century monuments. If you prefer something more active, there's a guided bike tour or walk with scenic views. Alternatively, head to the hilltop village of Grignan where you can search for Black Diamond truffles with a local farmer and his truffle-hunting dog.

Later in the day, you'll discover Lyon starting at Fouvière Hill and the 19th-century basilica Notre-Dame de Fouvière in the UNESCO World Heritage area. You can walk through the old town and St. Jean district with its covered walkways called traboules. Choose a guided bike tour through the cyclist-friendly streets or a Vieux Lyon tasting tour of local specialties.

Tournus
You'll join a guided tour through Mâcon learning about local vineyards, museums, and historical sites. Or venture to Cluny Abbey built over centuries between the 4th and 12th centuries, or explore the Gothic Royal Monastery of Brou from the 16th century. After that, enjoy panoramic views from the Sun Deck as you sail to Tournus, or take a bike ride from Mâcon to Tournus instead. There's an optional Mâconnais wine tasting if you're interested.
