Itinerary
- Day 1
Varanasi to Sarnath
Your hotel pickup happens around midday, then you'll head to Sarnath where Buddha taught his first lessons to followers. The drive takes you through one of Buddhism's most important spiritual locations, and your guide will walk you through the ancient stupas and temples scattered across the site. There's also an archaeological museum to check out if you want to dig deeper into the history. On the way back to Varanasi, you'll pass by the Standing Buddha Statue, which is quite impressive. By evening, you'll make your way to Dasaswamedh Ghat to catch the Ganga Aarti ceremony at sunset, where priests perform rituals along the river with fire and chanting.
