Later this evening, your group gathers for a welcome dinner.

- Day 3
Edinburgh
Start with a panoramic and walking tour covering Edinburgh's old and new districts. You'll see Georgian architecture, writers' monuments, hidden alleyways, and learn about the city's darker history. Then it's a walk along the Royal Mile up to Edinburgh Castle for a guided tour of the grounds and a look at the Scottish Crown Jewels. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore independently. By evening, you've got the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the world-famous show that draws crowds year-round.

Today you'll take a local passenger train heading south from Edinburgh to York. Once you arrive, walk around to get your bearings on York's streets and grab lunch on your own. In the afternoon, visit York Minster cathedral, which is really quite impressive. Spend the rest of the day checking out whatever catches your interest. If you want, there's an optional evening tour to a family-run Yorkshire vineyard where you'll do some wine tasting and have a traditional home-cooked dinner.

Once you settle in at your hotel, the evening is yours to explore London at your own pace.
