You'll arrive in Cape Town around 6pm and meet your tour leader and fellow travelers. Check into The Winchester Boutique Hotel, then head to the hotel restaurant for a welcome dinner to get things started.

Cape Town
This morning covers Cape Town's main sights on a driving tour, hitting the Castle of Good Hope, Grand Parade, and St George's Cathedral. After that, you'll take the cable car up Table Mountain for views across the city, Robben Island, and the Twelve Apostles. Your afternoon is free to explore, and you have the option to visit Robben Island if you want.

Cape Peninsula
You'll drive along Chapmans Peak, one of the world's most scenic coastal routes, and reach the Cape of Good Hope where you take the funicular to the lighthouse. Then it's on to Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony, followed by seafood lunch at Seaforth Restaurant with views over False Bay. Spend your afternoon wandering the trails at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, then finish with sunset drinks at the on-site MOYO restaurant.

Bo-Kaap to Franschhoek
After a relaxed morning, you'll explore the Bo-Kaap district with its steep cobblestone streets and colorful houses. Your tour leader shares Cape Malay history and takes you into a home where you'll learn traditional cooking, including how to fold samosas and taste local dishes. Later, you transfer to your hotel in the wine region for the evening.

- Day 5
Winelands
You'll spend the day exploring the Winelands with your tour leader. Start in Stellenbosch with an orientation tour and wine tasting at an estate. Then head to Franschhoek, known for gourmet food, where you tour another estate and have food and wine pairings at MIKO restaurant overlooking the valley. Finish at a third estate for cellar exploration and tasting.

Winelands to Oudtshoorn
Leave the Winelands and transfer for about five hours to reach the Cango Caves, one of South Africa's most significant natural sites. A local guide takes you through this extensive cavern system formed over 20 million years ago, explaining the stalactites and stalagmites. You'll continue to your hotel in Oudtshoorn, located at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains.

- Day 7
Garden Route
Travel to Bloukrans Bridge, site of the world's highest commercial bungy jump. Visit Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth when weather allows, marking the Garden Route's end. Continue to Plettenberg Bay, stopping for lunch at a lagoon-side restaurant in Knysna, famous for oysters. You can add on an optional oyster tasting if interested.

- Day 8
Plettenberg Bay
Enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge. Later, board a boat for a sea safari where the skipper chooses the route based on current wildlife activity. Depending on the season, you might see humpback whales on their migration route, plus southern right whales, bottlenose dolphins, and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins with the skipper's guidance.

Landmarks Humpback Highway - Day 9
Kariega Private Game Reserve
You'll leave early for about a 3 hour 45 minute transfer to Kariega Private Game Reserve. After lunch when you arrive, board open safari vehicles in the evening and explore the African bush with an experienced ranger, looking for lions, elephants, and other wildlife. End your day with a sundowner drink out in the bush.

Spend your afternoon however you like, choosing between a bush walk, spa treatment, swim, or just relaxing. In the evening, join another game drive with sundowners to catch wildlife you might have missed, then return for a farewell dinner celebrating your safari experiences.

Your adventure wraps up at Kariega Private Game Reserve. You'll depart with a group transfer to Port Elizabeth, about 1 hour 40 minutes away, to head home. If you want to stay longer, talk with your sales representative about extending your time in the African bush.
