Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
You'll arrive at Marrakech Airport and get transferred to your riad in the medina. After settling in with traditional mint tea and a quick orientation, the rest of your day is flexible. Depending on when you land, you might take a casual walk through the nearby souks to get a feel for the medina's layout and buildings, or you could just rest before things kick off tomorrow.

Marrakech
Following breakfast, your licensed guide meets you for a cultural walking tour through the old city. The morning includes Bahia Palace with its intricate tilework and gardens, then the spice market and Jewish Quarter. You'll also see the Madrasa Ben Youssef and Marrakech Museum before ending at Jemaa El Fna Square for lunch on a rooftop. Your afternoon is yours to browse artisan shops or head back to your riad.

Marrakech to Dades Gorges
This morning you'll drive through Tizi n'Tichka Pass with stops to take in views of Berber villages and snow-capped peaks. The route brings you to Aït Ben Haddou, an ancient fortress village you've likely seen in films like Gladiator. After lunch, you'll continue through Skoura and the Rose Valley, then arrive at Dades Gorges with its dramatic rock formations. You'll spend the night at a kasbah hotel there.

After breakfast, you head to Todra Gorges for a walk through this canyon that's popular with hikers and climbers. Following lunch, the journey continues to Merzouga at the Sahara's edge. From there, you'll take a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach your desert camp. The evening brings sunset views, dinner, and Berber music performed under the stars.

Sahara Desert to Fes
An early start gets you to the desert sunrise, then you'll return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4. After breakfast and freshening up, you head north with a stop at Ziz Valley for photos and lunch in Midelt. Later you'll walk through the cedar forests of Azrou where wild Barbary macaques live, pass through Ifrane with its Swiss-style charm, and arrive in Fes by evening.

After breakfast, you travel south toward Casablanca, passing through Rabat, Morocco's capital. In Rabat you'll see the Oudaya Kasbah overlooking the Atlantic, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Hassan Tower. Moving on to Casablanca, there's a chance to visit the Hassan II Mosque by the sea. Lunch happens at a local restaurant along the way, and depending on timing, the mosque visit might happen today or be pushed to tomorrow.
