Casablanca to Chefchaouen
You'll land at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca where your local guide meets you for the transfer to Chefchaouen. The drive takes you through the Rif Mountains before checking into your hotel or riad. Spend the afternoon wandering the blue-painted streets that the town is known for, poking around the markets, and grabbing food at local cafes to get a feel for Moroccan cuisine.

Chefchaouen to Fes
After breakfast at your riad, head out to Fes with your local guide showing you around the medieval city's historic streets and architecture. You'll explore the Medina at your own pace, which gives you time to grab lunch whenever you're ready. By evening, you're settled into your riad in the heart of the old city for the night.

Fes to Merzouga Desert
Starting after breakfast, you drive south toward Merzouga with stops in Ifrane, the Middle Atlas Mountains, and a cedar forest where Barbary apes live in their natural habitat. Lunch happens along the way before you pass through the Ziz Valley oasis and reach the desert. Once there, you'll take a camel trek across Erg Chebbi's sand dunes, then climb to a high dune to watch the sunset. The evening brings you to a luxury desert camp for dinner with traditional drumming and Berber music around a bonfire.

Merzouga Desert to Dades Gorge
If you're up for it, wake early to catch the sunrise over the dunes before having breakfast. After that, you'll choose whether to continue by camel or switch to a 4x4 vehicle heading toward Dades Gorge. On market days, stop at the traditional market in Rissani, then walk through Todra Gorge to see the river and rock formations. Dades Valley has more impressive rock formations to see before you check into your hotel for the night.

Dades Gorge to Marrakech
You're driving to Ouarzazate, called the 'Hollywood of Africa' because of Atlas Studios, where you can explore movie sets and learn how films get made there. Next comes Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah worth seeing. After lunch at a local restaurant, you cross the High Atlas Mountains while taking in the scenery, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon.
