Bangkok
You'll touch down at Bangkok International Airport where someone meets you for the transfer to your hotel. After that, the day is open for whatever you want to do. Grab a traditional Thai massage if you're interested, try some local food, or head up to a rooftop bar to catch the sunset over the city.

- Day 2
Bangkok
Three major Buddhist temples are on the agenda today. Start with Wat Traimit to see its famous 3-meter Golden Buddha, then move on to Wat Pho where the 46-meter Reclining Buddha takes up most of the space. Next comes the Grand Palace with its intricate royal buildings and the Emerald Buddha temple. Later you'll stop by a local lapidary factory where you can look through jewelry and silk pieces made in the region.

Bangkok
After breakfast at your hotel, you're heading to Maeklong Railway Market to see the train pass right through the market stalls, which is quite a sight. From there you'll go to Damnoen Saduak floating market where vendors in canoes paddle through the waterways selling fresh produce and goods. The ride back to Bangkok happens in the afternoon.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
Following breakfast, you'll catch a domestic flight to Chiang Mai and get settled at your hotel. Later in the afternoon, a guided tour takes you through the old town temples. You'll see Wat Suan Dok with its 48-meter chedi, the large Wat Phra Sing complex, the older Wat Chedi Luang, plus Wat Chet Yot and Wat Chiang Man which has distinctive elephant sculptures.

During the day you'll also browse Wararot Market and the fragrant flower market. Come evening, you'll have traditional khan toke dinner with cultural performances from the Lanna kingdom.

Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai
After breakfast, visit the Elephant Poopoopaper Park where you'll learn how eco-friendly paper gets made from elephant dung and try making some yourself. Later, after lunch, the drive takes you to Wat Rong Khun, the white temple known for its intricate white exterior and mirror details. You'll arrive in Chiang Rai by afternoon.

- Day 7
Chiang Rai to Phuket
After breakfast you'll head to Chiang Saen for views of the Golden Triangle where Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand all meet at the Mekong River. A boat trip around the Golden Triangle lasts about 30 minutes, followed by lunch at a local place. Then it's off to Chiang Rai Airport, then a flight to Bangkok and onward to Phuket where you'll be transferred to your hotel.
