Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive at Athens airport where your driver meets you for a private transfer to the hotel. From there, the rest of your day opens up for exploring on your own terms, so you can settle in and get your bearings at whatever pace works for you.
- Day 2
Athens
After breakfast, you'll join a guided tour of Athens starting at 8:00 AM. The route takes you past the Panathenaic Stadium, the Prime Minister's residence, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Parliament, and Constitution Square before heading to the Acropolis. There you'll see the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and the Parthenon. The tour wraps around 1:30 PM, leaving your afternoon free to wander around further.

Athens to Kalabaka
You'll head out by bus after breakfast toward Delphi to check out the ancient archaeological sites, including the Temple of Apollo and surrounding ruins. There's a lunch stop along the way (you'll pay separately), then you'll continue through Central Greece for about 3.5 hours total driving time to reach Kalabaka. The town sits at the base of the Meteora rock formations where monasteries sit perched on top of the cliffs, and you'll stay overnight there.

Kalabaka to Thessaloniki
After a hearty breakfast, you'll visit the Meteora Monasteries, a UNESCO site with clifftop buildings and Byzantine history. You can take in the views and walk through these monastic spaces. Later, you'll travel toward Thessaloniki for roughly 2 hours 50 minutes, checking out landmarks like the White Tower and Arch of Galerius once you arrive. You'll spend the night in this historically significant city.

Thessaloniki to Sofia
You'll cross into Bulgaria with stops planned at Rila Monastery in the Rila Mountains, one of Bulgaria's major Eastern Orthodox sites. There you can walk through the elaborate frescoes and architecture to understand its artistic and spiritual importance. The drive takes around 3.5 hours total before you reach Sofia, check into your hotel, and have time to relax.

Sofia to Bucharest
You're heading to Bucharest, Romania's capital, with about 5.5 hours of driving ahead. Once you arrive, you'll check in at your hotel and have the rest of the day free to explore the city however you'd like without any scheduled activities.

Bucharest to Transylvania and Return
After breakfast, you'll take a day trip to Transylvania. The itinerary includes Bran Castle (known for its Dracula connections), the medieval town of Brașov, and Peles Castle. You'll see historic architecture and landscapes throughout the day, then head back to Bucharest for the night.
