Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo airport and get transferred to your hotel, then have the afternoon and evening to settle in at your own pace. At 7pm there's a welcome meeting where you'll meet the rest of your group and your guide.
- Day 2
Giza and Saqqara
Head out to the Giza Plateau to see the pyramids and the Sphinx. You'll check out Cheops (Khufu), the largest of the three great pyramids built from over 2.5 million limestone blocks. After that, drive to Saqqara to walk through the tombs and temples, including Zoser's step pyramid that was designed by the pharaoh's chief architect Imhotep.

Cairo to Aswan
This morning you'll tour the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, a 490,000 sq.m complex with treasures from nearly every period of ancient Egyptian history, plus items from King Tutankhamun. Then head to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to see mummies and other ancient artifacts. Later in the day you'll fly south to Aswan and transfer to your hotel.

Abu Simbel - Nile Cruiser
Take a short boat trip in the morning to Agilika Island to visit Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Back in Aswan, you can stop at a perfume oil shop, then check in to your Nile Cruiser for the next three nights. You'll have free time to wander the colorful souks or relax. At midnight, board a coach for about 4 hours to reach Abu Simbel.

Landmarks/POIs Agilika Island Philae Temple - Day 5
Aswan - Nile Cruiser
You'll arrive at Abu Simbel and see the Sun Festival of King Ramses II at sunrise, when sunlight fills the inner sanctum of the Great Temple (this happens twice yearly). Explore the Great Temple with its four colossal statues of Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor with statues of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. Later return to Aswan, and your cruiser heads to Kom Ombo. You'll visit the temple dedicated to Sobek before returning to the cruiser for the night.

Nile Cruiser to Luxor
Spend the day cruising the Nile to Luxor, swimming in the pool and relaxing on deck. You'll arrive in Luxor this afternoon, home of the Valley of the Kings and Temple of Karnak. The rest of the day is free to check out this 4,000-year-old city before your final night on the cruiser.

Luxor
Disembark this morning and check into your 5-star Luxor hotel. The day is yours to relax and explore the city at your own pace. Tonight there's an optional visit available to the Temple of Luxor, which is lit up by hundreds of lights.

Luxor
Explore the West Bank of the Nile and Valley of the Kings this morning. You'll see the stone remains of the Colossi of Memnon, check out the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and surrounding tombs. After lunch, visit the Temple of Karnak, a religious complex with massive stone papyrus columns. The evening is free for you to do as you like.

Luxor to Hurghada
Head east from Luxor to Hurghada on the Red Sea Riviera. You'll have 3 days ahead to enjoy the beach and resort life.

Landmarks/POIs Hurghada - Days 10 - 11
Hurghada
You've got free time over the next couple of days to explore Hurghada independently or just relax on the beach. There's an optional snorkeling trip available on day 10, but otherwise it's up to you. Hurghada has excellent water sports including windsurfing, yachting, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. You'll find shops and nightlife, plus the ancient Roman quarry Mons Porphyritis and the windy Port Safarga just outside town.

Drive back to Cairo this morning and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free, or you can join an optional visit to Khan el Khalili Bazaar to browse and bargain for authentic Egyptian souvenirs like tobacco pipes, pharaonic items, belly dancing costumes, spices, and carpets.
