very good tour. They were able to give us a sampling of all the things to do - river cruise, train ride, boat ride, tours, local flavor, etc. I liked the Eagle's Nest and the mountains around Lucerne.

Pedro was AMAZING and is just a wealth of knowledge! He has a great personality and made everyone feel comfortable. Bozo was a good driver and was able to navigate calmly around a few crazy drivers! We made some new friends, and I now have a few new favorite destinations.

The tour was excellent- I enjoyed touring the castles in Austria, seeing the how cuckoo clocks were made in Germany and going to Mount Pilatus in Switzerland. Everything was top notch including the food and accommodations. Our tour guide Pilar was very helpful and informative- couldn't recommend her enough.

I can't pick just one. Sound of Music tour (I am a theatre person and got to sing Doh Re Me on the actual steps that they did in the movie) Climbing to Birds Nest (The vies from the top wee amazing) Black Forrest coo-coo clock making demonstration (so interesting how they make them and yes, I bought one, as did almost everyone else) River Cruise down the Danube (Very nice and relaxing) Mount Palatus (the train going up and the Gondola coming down and the view from the top where you can see 2 other countries and the Matterhorn) Of course, you can't forget Lauderach chocolate (best in the world!) All in all, it was an amazing trip.

I was very happy with the tour. Very good experiences that showed me not only the scenery it the culture of the countries. I loved being able to see the alps up close. But the best part of the tour was the free time that was given us to explore on our own. Our tour guide gave us many suggestions as to what we could do.

This was an excellent tour. It was very well planned. The tour manager did an excellent job. All of the local tour guides were very knowledgeable. The bus driver was very skilled. There was only one optional tour, the Mount Pilatus trip. This tour was my favorite part of the trip - we went up to the top of Mount Pilatus on a gondola. The view was fantastic. We were lucky that the weather was beautiful for most of the tour.

As I understand, this was our tour manager Martin's first tour with Collette. I understand that English is not his native language. However, his speech was so halting and 'sharp,' it grated on my nerves. Martin met us at the airport. Others on the tour mentioned the email they had received from him. I did not receive the email from him. When I asked him about it he said I didn't need it - and I should get a picture of it from someone else. He insisted that we all install 'What's App' on our phones so he could communicate with us. He did not use the app at all. The welcome meeting: Usually we introduce ourselves and say where we are from. Martin did not have us do that, so I thought perhaps that would come at the welcome dinner. There was no 'welcome' at the dinner. And the restaurant was so crowded and noisy, that we would not have been able to hear anyway. He also had the habit of rapping on the microphone two to three times before he began to speak on the bus. On our first tour in Vienna, I was having ifficulty hearing the lady city guide. He commenced to be rude with me - saying, "You need to turn it on. To Channel 5." My VOX device was on and was on Channel 5. It was just some kind of a glitch at that time. I would not recommend that Collette again hire Martin as a guide. There are many other instances of his rudeness. I have much more I could say, but I am probably running out of space for this answer. I was hoping to be able to add more to my comments - because I think Collette needs to know what else was less than good on this particular tour. Because of Martin, the tour was less than what I expect on a Collette tour. And - I am not Amanda Schott. For some reason I did not receive a Collette survey for the Exploring the Alpine Countries., so Amanda forwarded her survey to me. I followed this tour immediately with Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains. I think I do have a Collette survey for that tour. Please check my email address that you have on file. Sometimes I believe it is misspelled - hence - no email message.
