    You'll arrive at Bangkok airport and head to your hotel to settle in. After the journey, you have free time to rest and get oriented to the city.

    Bangkok

    Start with breakfast, then head to the Grand Royal Palace and Wat Phra Kaew to see the Emerald Buddha. From there, walk through Wat Pho for the famous Reclining Buddha. After lunch, you'll wander through Chinatown and visit Wat Traimit with its Golden Buddha. Later in the afternoon, take a long-tail boat along the Chao Phraya River and through the canals to reach Wat Arun before heading back to your hotel.

    Bangkok to Kanchanaburi

    Following breakfast, drive to Samut Songkhram Province to see Mae Klong Railway Market where vendors quickly pack up as trains pass through. Next, go to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market for a paddle boat ride through the canals (or Tha Kha market if it's the weekend for a quieter setting). Later, travel to Kanchanaburi to visit the World War II memorial and cemetery, walk across the Kwai River Bridge, and take a 30-minute train ride along the river before checking into your hotel.

    Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya

    After breakfast, head to Erawan National Park to check out Erawan Waterfall, a seven-tiered cascade. Bring walking shoes and your swimming suit if you want to swim in the pools. In the afternoon, drive to Ayutthaya, the ancient city known as the 'Venice of the East' situated along the Chao Phraya River.

    Starting after breakfast, take a tuk-tuk through Ayutthaya to see Wat Yai Chai Mongkol and Wat Mahathat, which has a famous Buddha face growing from a tree. You'll stroll through a local market and visit Wat Phra Srisanphet. Then head by road to Sukhothai via Uthai Thani and Phitsanulok, arriving late afternoon and checking into your hotel.

You'll see the Ajana Buddha image at Wat Srichum, then bike to Wat Prapailuang, Wat Sri Sawai, Wat Sra Sri, and Wat Trapang Ngoen. Later in the afternoon, transfer to Lampang to check in with free time at your hotel.

Next, take a 30-minute horse-drawn carriage through the city and surrounding villages. Grab lunch on your own at a local spot. Afternoon brings travel to Chiang Rai with a stop at Phayao Lake for coffee and views, arriving toward the end of the day.

    Chiang Mai

    Drive about 2 hours to Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand's highest peak. You'll trek through jungle on a narrow mountain trail for 2 to 3 hours to reach a hidden waterfall. Along the way, pass through coffee plantations, flower farms, and rice paddies before arriving at a Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village. Taste local coffee, then visit Vachiratharn Waterfall which is 70 meters high. See the Napamaytanidol Chedi and Phra Mahatat Napaphon Bhumisiri built to honor the royal couple's milestone. Then return to Chiang Mai.

    Chiang Mai

    You'll be picked up and driven about 1.5 hours to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Change into traditional Karen clothing and learn about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior. Meet the elephants and feed, interact, and play with them in a natural setting. Enjoy traditional Thai lunch with fresh fruit. Afternoon includes learning to make herbal medicine balls, feeding elephants, walking with them to the river, and bathing them. You'll join them for a therapeutic mud spa and swim, then change clothes and head back to Chiang Mai, arriving around 5 to 5:30 PM.
